Really? Well with Andrea Healthy this team is around 500, which gets you a playoff spot in the eastern conference. Now add a Center and improved roster, and this team can't make the playoffs?

roster 2012 :

rando
DD
Batum
ED or 1st 2012
Jonas

second unit :
caldy, barbosa, JJ, Amir, mahimmi.

bench :
kabongo, forbes, Magz.

trade barg for rando
then trade kleiza for batum.
all before the trade deadline.
that would be a 7-10 spot end of the season : 8-14th pick
draft a big men (robinson-leonard-zeller-young) with our 1st and a pg/sg with our 2nd (kabongo)

I'd trade Bargs for rondo if we draft Anthony Davis.

on a second thought, that would be a disastrous 3-point shooting starting lineup if demar, kleiza and val also start

Ok for the people that have it as us getting W Chandler, why the hell are you putting him on the bench? Theres not a single person on this team worth starting at SF over him :S.

Dude, we're 3 games back as it stands now and we're brutal. We should be considerably better next season and I expect us to at least challenge for a playoff spot. JMHO

Depends on what happens with all that cap space. Signing even a solid wing player could make the difference for us. In the eastern conference, as a certain Celtic might say, anything is possible.

Yeah, a solid pick + Val + a solid 3 like Chandler should make a difference. Add to that possibly making a deal for a PG and I truely believe BC will start adding more established pieces next summer. He better if he wants to remain here (last year of his contract). I think we'll see a trade plus a couple singings and if they're good moves we'll start moving up the standings. In the NBA a couple impact players make a huge difference when you only need to be 8-9 deep.

Why would Portland trade Batum for Kleiza.... makes zero sense.

This is why I think he'll keep Leandro as well. If Val is ready, this team could take a huge jump forward..... though JV will still need time to get integrated.

i think you have a tiny chance. You are adding a high upside rookie Euro center not Hakeem. And you are adding another rookie who may or may not be good. And you may or may not add some decent free agent.
You need a lot of things to work out right.

Indiana, Phillie, Heat, Bulls, Atlanta, Boston seem to be rock solid at least for the next year. Well, unless Boston decides to rebuild which I doubt.
Then you have Knicks and Bucks who I'd expect to be better. Cavs who have all sorts of means to improve next year if they want to, and they are already decent. And Nets/ Magic, at least one of them may be good depending on what Howard does.

That's 11 teams that will make a run at .500 and better. Not all of them will get there, there will be injuries and bad mojo. But that may happen to you as well, so...

Medium paced first unit:
Jose, Lamb, Chandler, Bargs, Bourousis

Fast paced second unit:
Bayless, Demar, JJ, Amir, JV

I'm just pulling Bourousis out of my ass. I have no idea if he could play next year in the NBA.

Kobe? Seriously? Too old for Toronto, I'd say. Get Harden.
