Question Raptors possible choices when trade deadline comes

The only player i like here who could possibly benefit the Raptors is andre miller the defensive point gaurd Raptors have been lacking?
Quote:
1. Andre Miller, Portland Trail Blazers

Miller would have occupied the No. 1 slot here even if the Blazers weren't in the market for a competent big man and/or wing player after losing Nicolas Batum (shoulder), Travis Outlaw (foot) and now Greg Oden to the second season-ending knee injury of his young career.

2. Nate Robinson, New York Knicks

The Knicks are 4-1 in December and enter Friday's visit to New Orleans on a three-game win streak that has featured precisely zero minutes for li'l Nate.

So you can safely conclude that, yes, Robinson will soon be eminently available to interested trade parties … which is why we have him so high despite the fact that his eligible-to-be-traded date is actually one week later (Dec. 22) than the rest because he signed later this offseason.

3. Marcin Gortat, Orlando Magic

Gortat is listed here because he so badly wants to be on this list. It's common knowledge leaguewide that the 7-footer was deeply disappointed when Orlando matched the Dallas Mavericks' five-year, $34 million offer sheet in the summer, leaving Gortat to hope that the passing of Dec. 15 will trigger serious trade discussions that will land him somewhere he'll get to play regularly.

4. Brandon Bass, Orlando Magic

Smith insisted earlier this week when asked by the Orlando Sentinel about Gortat and Bass that he has no plans to trade either one.

But Bass is finding it increasingly harder than Gortat to score regular playing time and is bound to attract suitors no matter what Smith says publicly. The clear vibe in circulation is that Bass, who landed a four-year deal worth $16 million from the Magic, is the more gettable of the two … especially since Gortat has the right to veto any trade through July 13, 2010, because he was a restricted free agent last July when he signed an offer sheet with Dallas that the Magic matched.

5. Ramon Sessions, Minnesota Timberwolves

New Wolves personnel boss David Kahn doesn't give many hints to nosy scribes, especially considering he's a former sportswriter, but more than one team we've consulted continues to believe that Sessions -- if you allow us to employ the proper GM-speak -- was signed by Minnesota with the intent to "flip" him.

All these guys just signed somewhat lucrative contracts -with the exception of Robinson who's on a one year deal. I wouldn't really entertain the notion of bringing in any of them unless we're somehow able to shed some of our more dubious contracts in doing so.

One prospect that could be a possibility.....

What about T-Mac for Bargs + filler?

If he's healthy (and it seems like he is) he could be a missing piece of the puzzle for us... God knows he'd look great beside Bosh and Hedo.... and HOU would benefit in getting a young big who can score beside Yao.

Hmmmm.... it REALLY doesn't seem as though HOU wants T-Mac back... so maybe?

Thoughts?

Hell yes. . If that fell through though... it'd be MANDATORY we get back a defensive PG.

Maybe McGrady/Lowry for Calderon/Bargnani.

McGrady would just be an expiring, right? You don't want to keep him after 2010, do you?

I don't think that'd be a good idea. We saw what happened when Andrea was out of the line-up against Milwaukee. We lost a good amount of firepower, as well as some on the defensive end. Obviously he's not a defensive beast however he's far better than our alternative, which would become our likely alternative, Rasho Nesterovich - that's more my main point. Plus, why would you want to trade a guy who has been relatively healthy his entire 3 years in the NBA for T-Mac who pretty much blows out his ankle every season. He's good, but the risk still outweighs the reward.

+1 though for not wanting more Europeans.

WE don't have to build around bargs. When we trade Bosh we either have to get rose, lopez, to be our superstar. Like i said before. WE trade Bosh to new jersey for lopez/lee/alston.(money doesn't match, but we need to somehow get lopez and lee, or lopez and harris) WE trade calderon/Amir for Dalembart(they have been actively trying to trade this guy) WE Finally trade hedo/evans for andre miller/bayless/outlaw(miller has not contributed to this team, bayless wants out, and travis outlaw will be a free agent that doesn't want to play in the shadows of roy, fernadez, webster)
Now Imagine this:
Let's say we can a coach like Avery Johnson who knows how to handle dirk nowitzki type players.... our line up would be:
Lopez/Dalembart/Rasho
Bargs/Pops
Outlaw/Derozan/Wright
Lee/Beli/Weems
Miller/Jack/Alston/Bayless
The players in bold have the potential to become a dominant force in the NBA.
Our team will be better off in the future if we trade Bosh now. Is that a deadly lineup or not. Btw, i think alston, miller, weems, rasho, wright, outlaw(probably gonna resign him), pops come off the books this year. That's 12-13 million we can use to try and get a guy like rudy gay(only if we don't resign outlaw

I think Wright is on his way out, to make room for a combo guard. The play of Sonny Weems, DeMar DeRozen and Marco Belinelli have made Wright redundant.

Matching isn't too hard, they have plenty of expirings if they'd want to. Problem is they can keep everybody and sign Bosh without giving any of that up. If Bosh wants to play there

Not. Btw Miller has a three year deal, 2 yrs guaranteed. Also, expirings don't equal cap space. Remember the Hedo deal? would have to pull off something like that for Gay. And that wouldn't be possible without giving anything up. very unrealistic imo

I wouldn't want any of the guys on that list. I think the best avenue is moving Bosh at the end of the year with Jose for Paul and Okafor, or Iguodala and Brand. oh and Wright is an expiring, but it's clear he his trying to play for a contract that we def. shouldn't be considering.
