Default Raptors Player Improvement need

Last season was disappointing for the whole organization .

This year looks promising after BC assembled an All star team. Players who were on the team from last year definitely needed improvement in there overall game. New players added also needed improvement.

Improvement Needed

Chris Bosh :
Rebounding--For a big man, Bosh is a softy on the boards
Better ball handling---Bosh likes to dribble, but often got turnovers due to that.
Rushing the net--Bosh would settle for jump shots, even when it wasn't going down
Control the team--Putting his head down when the team wasn't doing good.

I love bosh. He belongs in the the top 5 NBA player in his time. Improvement is required from him to be and MVP candidate. Bosh is a big man and he needs to play like one. Rebounding and aggressiveness is required from him. He is the leader for this team, and last season he often didn't run the team efficiently.I hope this year he does that.

Andrea bargani

Rebounding: This team needs rebounding and he needs to step up
Post up..He is a center for Raptors and needs to post up more often
Toughen up..Barg was shy away from big players and wouldn't go the basket if they showed him off or blocked him

Barg really improved his game last year. He surprised a lot of people and even BC himself. Barg is a center and he needs to bang with opposing team to get his bread. He has to play aggressive and not settle for jumpers. I love his three pointers and jump shot, but Raptors team last year lacked somebody who would take it to the basket. Barg has the speed to take the ball to the basked and he needs to use it more often.

Hedo Turk

Defense--He depends on offense to get his numbers
48 minutes..he is consider 4th quarter player
Controlling the court..When Bosh is on the bench he needs to control

Hedo has the age and playing experience in this team. He needs to control the team when Bosh is resting. He has to play a 48 minute game, rather saving his energy for the 4th, because we can be down by alot of point and wont be able to come up. His defense is questionable and he needs to step up.

Jose Calderon

Take a shot...Scared to shoot
Defense---Needs to play better defense
Take it to the basket...He has to use his quickness to his advantage..

Jose another great PG in the league. A great shooter who has pass first mentality and shot later. Unfortunately he has been criticized for that and he needs change that. IF he has a shot he has to take it. Defensive game is low and he needs to work on it. Taking it to the basket has to be an option everytime he bring the ball up the court, which will make him more dangerous.

Demar drozan

Dont know much about his game. After watching few college games, he is very athletic. He needs to bring that to the table and Raptors lacked that last year.

Jarret Jack..

Shouldn't try to do too much. Just back up jose and run the team without getting too many turnovers. he is a back up point guard and doesn't have to prove anything because he will not get starter.

What do guys think that above players need to improve ?

Bosh averaged 10 boards a game
he needs to work on defense and growing a pair when he goes up against the likes of KG

U are right...he was one of the few players who a double double season. Timing is important. Get the rebounds when needed, not to get your stats up. Dont get me wrong, Bosh is hard working player, but he needs to be clutch player. Put your heart in the final minutes of the game...Bang with the opposing team

I think there are two things left to improve. The team is now better defensively and Bosh should be motivated to playing Olympic defense thanks to Jarrett Jack. What Triano needs to do are a bunch of rebounding drills. What Bosh needs to do is drive the ball 4 out of every 5 times he gets it. That way, he will be much more productive and we'll have a nice strong inside presence. Overall, we're set for a pretty good year next season.

What I like about Triano is giving players chances if they make mistakes. That's why there are quite a few teams interested in Joey Graham and a lot of praises coming to Triano. Hopefully he'll live up to those praises. Coach of the year perhaps?

Players praised Jay for giving them minutes that Sam couldn't give. Coach of the year is not surprising. After all a team that most improved from the year before gets that award. 33 wins last year and if to can pull 55 to 60 wins ...than he could definitely be a candidate...

I'm optimistic but that's pushing it. At most 53 wins. 55-60 wins is where the Magic will be. But I like your enthusiasm and optimism.

82 games....and losing 22 ..or 27...to make 55--60..i think its possible...thats losing every 3 third game.....if Raptors get 3 or 4 good streaks..its very possible..

Yeah the crowd is going to be really pumped. When I go to a game, I'll bring signs and scream as loud as I can, let the crowd be the sixth man. We shouldn't have much need to boo the Raptors this year.

Bench and PG are improved so that should help.

Bosh needs to learn to pass when they multi-team him. Teams know they can throw 2-3 guys on him when he gets the ball and he won't find the open man. Maybe Turk can help him learn.

Bargs needs to post up and get offensive boards.

Defensively someone needs to stop the slashers. Jose needs to stop cheating to one side which ends up giving PG's open lanes to the basket.

Bosh has found the open man plenty in the past. Far too often it hasn't meant much as the guy that's left open either doesn't want to shoot - a la Jose and Kapono - or it's a Jamario Moon clunker.
