Default Raptors Pistons Preview: The Early Fight For Playoff Position

Quote:
Not everyone is convinced that the Pistons have made all the right moves and Wednesday night’s tilt versus the Raptors is the first head-to-head meeting with one of the half-dozen teams that they will competing with for one of the last four playoff spots.

Coming into Toronto on Wednesday night after playing the Magic puts the Pistons at a significant disadvantage. A tired team that relies on a hustling defense and doesn’t score much will have their hands full against a high scoring team like the Raptors.

Richard Hamilton sprained his right ankle on October 28 and will not play against the Magic. Update: The Detroit Free Press reports that Tayshaun Prince’s 439 consecutive games started streak ended Tuesday night because of a lower back strain. He will not play Wednesday in Toronto or Friday in Orlando.
Preview Raptors vs Pistons

Coming off the win versus the Magic last night, the Pistons will have their hands full with the Raptors.

The Raptors don't rely on the inside game - So just who is the rejuvenated Ben Wallace going to guard?

We really have to take care of this team...no Prince, no Rip and they're tired? Yikes...losing this game would suck to witness

And yet they beat Orlando. It shows how nutty the first week or two in the sched can be.

Why couldn't the Magic have had that poor shooting performance against us? Oh yeah - Vince wasn't playing.

The Pistons played suffocating defense on Orlando last night. They played very physical as well, almost causing Dwight Howard to lose his temper and go off on someone.

Yeah, you're right. Cuz Vince is only shooting 60.9% TS.

Whoooo! 60 percent total shit percentage. He shot 6 for 16 and was sitting on the bench at the end of the game when I was watching.

Whoooo! One poor shooting game. Actually, 46.9% eFG, not even THAT poor. Yes, because no one else has poor shooting games, only him

I'm sure Anderson going 2-14 from the field and 1-11 from three had nothing to do with the Magic's poor shooting

You'd have to be a retard to blame Vince when the rest of the team actually shot worse.

I think vince was still injured yesteday, he was clearly not ok against detroit.
that being said, it would have been hard even for Carter to top JJ's night, you can't really shot much better than jj did.
