Did we have any plans how to run offense after watching TO vs PHI I realize that only few people aloud to shoot from the floor. JV was on the floor just to pick up others missed shots Kleiza never got a ball to shoot. Just elite of Raptors like DD Barg and few others can shoot whatever they feel like no matter if anybody is under basket to pick bricks... Do we have any offensive plays?
In my opinion DC has to go... sorry guys. ![]() Last edited by papadunk; 11-10-2012 at 09:39 PM. |

This is kinda what I was getting t the other day. Is Casey taking elements of the Dallas offense, and is that really what is going to work with a very different set of players?

Basketball is a team sport, the objective being to shoot a ball through a basket horizontally positioned to score points while following a set of rules. (Wikipedia)

I have to ask....how did this team refuse to lose games last year when they needed to lose?
They honestly seem tired and scared. Sam Mitchell said that if he was working the guys too hard, Rasho would call him up and say the guys are tired. Do they have that guy on the team now? And are guys so tight they are afraid to just go out there and play? |

Dude, he's had two 60 win seasons with a team of LeBron and nobody else. The Heat haven't blown by that mark with their considerably better roster so I would have to attribute at least a bit of that to Brown. Also he was good enough for the Lakers to hire which is saying something in and of itself. He has experience and results, which is a lot more than I can say about any of our coaches since Lenny. I don't think you're giving him a fair shake in your assessment.

i dont know, obviously now that team isnt fully healthy i dont expect it to be perfect. but i hope he gets it sooner, that winable dallas game with our third stringers (acy included) plus amir playing crucial minutes at the end of the third and start of the fourth is something i hope never happens again.

Hey, I bitched out Casey's rotation after the home opener because it was obvious enough even then that they were a big problem and very likely lost us that game. I saw the same thing against Brooklyn and it only got marginally better in Dallas because Gray finally started getting DNP-CDs. Oddly enough though we're still playing more than 11 players each game and the starters are being subbed out 4 and 5 at a time. To me there's no health argument because we're only 1-3 with Lowry in line-up. This is a coaching issue and I don't give him any more than ten games so I guess he has four left. If we go 2-8 and the same rotation issues are there, do you really want him the rest of the season? Because I don't want to be completely out of playoff contention before that happens.
![]() P.S. I would already be on the phone with the Van Gundys as well as Mike Brown and D'Antoni (if he doesn't get hired by the Lakers) to gauge interest. |

isn't this the same rotation most nba teams use ?
For example there is a team in Europe, called Zalgiris, it has similar depth, probably deepest team in Europe, doesn't have big stars, just like Raptors, but they are the best team in Euroleague so far, won each and every game, based on defensive mentality, leading to easy scoring. Biggest difference is that in Zalgiris even centers are great 3point shooters, while in Toronto there is almost no shooters But I do believe Casey's rotation isn't doomed, it just needs some adjustments, lowry healthy and we're good to go Last edited by Zalgiris; 11-11-2012 at 07:02 AM. |

There's so many guys struggling right now it's hard to say that they should be getting more shots.
Lowry, Kleiza, Ross, Lucas, Fields are all guys that should be able to hit 3s. Take them out of the equation and the team is very thin on shooters. |
