Default Raptors Odds at making the playoffs - 99.7%

For all you Hollinger lovers out there, here are his playoff odds this week for the 2007-08 season. For an explanation on how they work, please see the following:

agreed. its what the world looks like through the nonexistant eyes of a calculator. its what the world looks like if every living thing could be counted, measured, and its behaviours and all things bound by time and space could be predicted and calculated....so not fun

I love Hollinger more than Wince Carter...not that that says much... but cool. We're going to the playoffs...let's start a rumour or a propaganda campaign for kicks

I hope he comes up with some way to apply this stuff to my bowel movements. Note to Hollinger: I had oatmeal this morning.

we are 99% sure to make the playoffs? And the same Hollinger was projecting us at 39 wins just weeks ago? yes - a very trustworthy analyst ...

Computers and basketball do not always make sense. I seem to recall the NBA Live game projected that the Heat would make the finals in the East. Screw computer projections this team is bad and flawed and making the playoffs at this point would be for 1 a minor miracle and for 2 the absolute worst message for this club moving forward.

His predictions actually worked out quite well for a lot of teams. Boston, Detroit, Orlando and Washington were predicted to win 64, 58, 60 and 44 and ended up winning 66, 59, 52 and 43, respectively. He was off on Cleveland but that's what happens when you have LBJ and he turns it up.

Hollinger's the same guy who had the Bucks ahead of the Spurs in his power rankings a few weeks ago.
