I don't think we'll be contenders either. BUT, I think we're better off with Hedo than with Marion. If Jose starts sucking again this season then Marion's offense will be hindered as well. But with Hedo, he can just create his own shots. BC clearly thought this out and is probably 5 steps ahead of you guys. So... just chill and let the guy work his magic

Bargnani drives, Jose drives, Bosh drives, Derozan drives.

Meanwhile Orlando was truly a jumpshooting team. Where was all this driving to the basket really? Lewis a bit. Lee a bit. That was hardly what made Hedo successful.

My only concern is the hit the defense took by losing Marion. But that can be made up elsewhere.

I hate to be the reality check, but barring a miracle, we just got worse defensely, from already one of the worst defensive teams, our reboudning issue hasnt been resolved, nor the inside presience, all this move did was make our team look better on paper, i have a bad feeling the realityh wont be close. I never liked Turk on Orlando, neither do my rl friends who are magic fans, and you all are about to find out how many idiotic, chucking plays he makes.

If anybody really thinks us or dallas are contenders, i feel bad for them. Cuban does dumber things then BC imo. Kidd is a huge blunder they cant get away from, hopefully they can salvage something from dampiers stupid contract, but i dont think adding marion makes them that much better, they still arent close to the west elite.
u gotta be the guy who posts first, because u go first

Too much so the last couple of seasons. Not so much last season when he recovered his wheels a bit.

Always behind the 3 point line is far too strong a statement. He drives more than any pg Orlando had.

We're not much different. Hedo can play even better here

not much at all, except orlando has one of the most dominant inside bigs in the game, offensively and defensively and an all star calibre pg who slashes and rips teams apart. So aside from that, better coaching and a stronger bench, we are exactly the same....

Just a side note, when you have a jump shot happy team, its not a horrible thing to have a guy that can rebound and an inside presense.

in order to be good, we need Bosh and Bargnani to hold true to their promise to improve this off season. We need Bosh to bulk up and keep his quickness, and Bargnani to turn that fat into muscle. BOth of them could be top defenders at their position (if not elite) - they have the tools. But they need to take better care of their bodies.

We already improved. We're for sure top5 in the east. But Bosh needs to play...

contenders? if you mean for a championship im afraidd youve gotten way ahead of yourself.
We will be a improved and competitive team in the east and nothing more.
The mavs have also improved and will play well, but will still not be able to put up match against the spurs, lakers, celtics, and cavs in a seven game series.

As posted before, Bosh does not need to bulk up.
Most trainers would require him to work on his calves to increase his explosive first step and jumping power.
