Morais had 10 turnovers in that 2008 game against the US, and he had 6 or more turnovers in two of the seven games of the 2013 African Championships.

Facing NBA players Morais would hurt as much as he helps. But I guess that fits the "sneaky tank" MU signings.

Depends on how we'd use him. If he is a spot up shooter and doesn't handle the ball much then maybe he'd be fine. That being said I would be pretty surprised if he m made the team ahead of stone or wright.

True but to add to that is he had a total of 4 turnovers in the other 5 games. Morais carries that team so when they run into a team that can double/triple team him TO's happen - and on occasion he can be sloppy with the ball or just has an off game. Also, I would think he would be better playing with high quality players than those from Angola (even though Angola is the most dominate African squad for the last 20 years). Good thing too is that if he made the team here, it will be KL and Gay with the ball for most of the time and Morais will only need to focus on scoring and defence and outlet passes - 3 things the Raps need from the 2 and 3 things Morais is good at.

I would love to keep him and Stone....hopefully if there is a trade later in the season and a spot opens up the team can add the one that won't make it at the start of the season. Actually, I think all 3 players would make nice back-ups.

We'd have too many PFs with Wright.

Amir, Tyler, Acy, Wright. Not including if you play small with Gay or Daye at PF.

I'm hoping Morais shows up and can be an end of the bench SG.

Stone & Morais are just as redundant on this team imo. I would have liked it if we invited a Center to come in for Training camp. Other than JV the only true Center we have is Gray.

I thought the same thing (wanting to invite a Center over any other position). But they didn't invite one.

Sooo...among the 3 players invited, a SG is most needed.

To be honest we need neither.

I think we need another Center. TH should not be playing Center and in a perfect world neither should Amir.....and in any world Gray should be playing as little as possible imo.

There's nothing wrong with Amir playing C in today's NBA. There is a lot right with it on most nights.

I agree. I meant that out of the 3 we need neither. A C will be nice to have.

I feel like MU invited these guys out of obligation. Wright played well for the Raptors Summer League team. Stone was supposed to be under contract. And Morais plays in Angloa (African connection).

Weird that MU never thought that another C would be necessary to invite.

The way I see it. It's good Masai isn't bringing in another C. Casey will be forced to play JV big mins. If JV or Amir gets injured, we will have plenty of wings to trade for a C.
