ya it was surprising when they traded harden, and all they had to do is get rid of perkins so they could pay harden his money that he did deserve at the time

i agree with bill simmons that they should have waited a year and then see were thing are at, try one more year to win with the okc big three instead of doing what they did

by then they would have realized with westbrook injured that harden is pretty much untradeable asset

the problem is keeping harden is not enough. Even if you shed perkins, you're still right at the luxury threshold, which means you can't replace him and who you're going to play at C? Their bench was already very thin.

This way, once they get rid of perkins, they will have 2-3 solid rookies (based on draft position) which could provide solid bench production for peanuts for 3-4 years. Which would allow them to use the remaining room under the luxury tax to either resign perkins for less, or get some other starting level C.

Nah trading Harden was just bad...They did sell it good though.

I would have traded Perkins then kept Harden & try to play Ibaka at the C position.

then you would need a PF ... bottom line is, unless you are willing to go over the luxury limit, it's impossible to have a max player coming off the bench, just not worth it. I guess you could have tried a lineup of rw/harder/thabo/durant/ibaka, that would have been one killer small-ball unit, but for some reason they don't like playing small.

If we end up with a pick and take Cody Zeller I will quit watching this team. And if we trade into the draft and pick Zeller anywhere I will quit watching this team. The guy is so easily dominated by better players and goes invisible. I'm not sure how draft boards even have him that high.

Look at Miami do they have a C?

The MJ bulls did they have any C's?

MJ had the great Luc Longley and Bill Cartwright at centre

Again I say MJ's Bulls didn't have a C

If you have 3 stars & I serviceable big in Ibaka you would have a much better chance of winning a title IMO

Do the Raptors have the best player in the game right now with a top 5 or higher player at SG and an allstar at PF?

Do the Raptors have the best SG ever who's a top10 hall of famer and arguably the best player ever? Do the raps also have the best #2 player ever who was a beastly defender?

you know every can say that well if presti had known what was going to happen this season with martin etc... they would've never done that trade

but everyone under the sun said it was huge mistake trading harden,

also i don't understand why lamb cnat get any playing time, they had hard time hitting 3's and they got a dead eye shooter siting on the bench who can d up

another thing that really bothered me is durant showed confidence in this organisation with signing right away not making a big deal it of it . this guy probably made this team hundreds of millions of dollars, and your telling me they can't step in the luxury tax a bit and sign some players to make the harden, westbrook, and durant trio

they've opened the door for durant to leave in my opinion, especially if westbrook isnt the same player,

i really believed they would win 4 or 5 championships together in the future now i'm worried if they will 1 or 2 and thats goign to hurt durants legacy in the long run
