Default Raptors Interested in Jrue Holiday

Jrue's my darkhorse in this draft. I love this kid.

New York (8), Toronto (9) and Milwaukee (10) appear to be especially interested.

he's gone by our selection
I think there is a high possibility of him going to Sac Town

Yup. There's no way they take Jordan Hill - especially with Hawes and Thompson being the lotto selections the past 2 years.. With that being said, Jennings or Hill could slip to 9, and if that's the case, that would be very interesting.

I've seen a couple mock drafts rank him high up all year but for the most part he's been in the back end. The guy has major talent and was ranked high on most lists before the start of the NCAA season. I trust Colangelo to make the right pick. He has a great top ten track record.

I've read somewhere that the Raptors are not high on him. For me, I'll be pissed if they draft a PG with the 9th pick. There are so many good wings out there.

Jennings is not crap. Sure, he needs to continue to develop his game (not strong finishing with his right, makes bad decisions, too much "street" play), but he also has a lot of ball skill and athleticism. Don't write him off just because he spent his first season in a pro league playing the toughest position.

If Jennings spent last year in the NCAA, people would be raving about him. If he falls to #9, I'd snatch him up in a heartbeat. He'd be far and away the best player.

So, if Rubio fell to 9, would you draft him?

Hell yes but you're talking about a potential superstar here. No one is dubbing Jennings as a potential superstar. I don't even think he will be the best player on the board at 9. Not to mention that he's more shoot first, pass second PG. That doesn't fly in a selfless high ball movement system. I'm thinking that fact has to be on Raptors brass' minds. I think if Stern calls out Jennings' name at #9 there will be an uproar of boos at the ACC.

You don't think Colangelo sent his people over there to scout him extensively? Come on now.

It's my understanding that he wasn't allowed to play through his mistakes in Europe( understandable), but it's a luxury he would have had in college.

If Holiday's getting a pass for playing off the ball and in a system that doesn't suit his game, then we need to give Jennings a pass for the situation he was in. Both guys are going to get picked on potential.

Stern won't be calling Jennings at #9 because he'll probably be going before that. Well, I shouldn't be so certain....there is a lot of movement possible from 6-15.

yeah, i wouldn't say it's a lock just yet. Bayless was a surefire top 6 pick by every mock out there last season before falling to 11 on draft night. Most people thought Lopez wouldn't slip past memphis as well, and he went down to NJ.

I think its a lock that Colangelo passes on Jennings with his first choice in the draft. I would be willing to lay some money down on the table as well.

Clark, Evans or DeRozen? I read that the Raptors are not high on DeRozen though. Maybe they go with Henderson?

It is gonna come down to the draft workouts and what happens in the draft itself.

If Holliday moves up, so could others after the workouts.

It isnt unfathomable that Harden falls to 9 or Hill fall there or even Toronto moves up in some sort of trade(I'm looking at you Washington.)

Nah... I doubt Hill will fall past 6. I see him as a very explosive player that can change the flow of games once he gets into the groove.

I saw Sherman Hamilton on RapsTV talking very highly about Henderson, which scares me. Anything he says, i rarely take too seriously. Even though i like what little i've seen from Henderson. He said the Raptors would probably take him if he's available. One plus is he comes from Duke.

Earl Clark is another pretty good option. He's a guy that can create his own shot. But i'm not sure about his defence. How is his defence?

I wouldn't take earl clark, his name just doesn't sound like a future superstars name.....

He has good length and has the potential to play very good defense, just needs to be more consistent. I'm not so sure we'll pick him though, there will probably be better options still available at number 9.
