agreed, he didn't play mainly because of the system the spurs run and he didn't fit in it ahead of Splitter and Diaw
on most teams this guy is at minimum a main big off the bench

Don't know how I missed this, but yes please! This guy is like another Amir. A frontcourt rotation of Amir, Jonas, Wright and Acy would make me very happy. Gray only there to step in when Wright inevitably gets hurt.

Would be happy giving him the full MLE.

Another Amir? I'm shocked someone doesn't say "too repetitive". lol

Um, the guy has never played over 18 mpg despite being the same age as Amir. He's been mad efficient. I wouldn't mind him but I'm curious to see what MU would offer. Don't want another big contract on the books for a team already at the tax. Now if Amir were to be shipped off, then go ahead.

Lets see, our bench consists of Ross, Acy, Fields, Novak, Gray and a third string point guard (Stone) who has played little minutes in the NBA and has no jumper. None of these players can create off the dribble. If any money or cap space needs to be spent, a good back-up point guard is priority No. 1 for the team:

Collison, Will Bynum, Nate Robinson

I like Bynum if possible.

I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I'm a fan of Nate Robinson now. I hated him before. If Casey can keep him on a leash like Thib did, we should make a run at him. Don't think we have enough though. He's a huge energy booster and very competitive. He's great for replacement starter if Lowry gets injured.

I'd do it to get him. I just hope it is a 3 year deal. A 1 or 2 year would leave us with limited ability to re-sign him if those 24 minutes help his stock.

Raptors offer is in the 4yrs $16-18 million range for the young reclamation project who was revitalized under Mavs coach Rick Carlisle.
