Clippers Have Most Expensive Round One NBA Playoff Tickets...South Of The Border - Forbes

Quote:
The average premium compared to the regular season average price across the sixteen teams that will play this post-season is 105%. The two highest premiums for the post-season arePacers tickets*and Raptors tickets, at 211% and 242% respectively. The Raptors not only have the highest premium of any team in the playoffs, but also the highest ticket price.*

They also have the 3rd lowest quantity on the secondary market, with just 2,261 tickets available across the secondary market.* For Raptors fans, it’s the first time since the 2007-08 season that they’ve made the playoffs. If they can get past the first round, it would be the first time they’ve done that since 2000-2001 when they beat the Knicks.* With the Maple Leafs out of the NHL playoffs, to the chagrin of Toronto sports fans, come next week, the Raptors will be the only game in town.*

The only team without a playoff premium are the World Champion Miami Heat. At a regular season average price of $233, the Heat had the most expensive regular season tickets of any team to make the post-season. At an average price of $225, their round-one matchup, likely against the Bobcats, has fans in Miami saving their dollars for a deep run in the post-season.* Last year, the Heat’s round one average price against the bucks was $331, making it over $100 more expensive than this years round-one matchup. Below is the list of each team’s round one average price as well as the quantity available and premium for each series.

I'll gladly watch the Raptors playoffs games at home on T.V. rather than paying a ridiculous amount of money for a ticket. Can't believe they are ripping Raptor fans off with those bullshit ticket prices.

I'll be in Washington for the first two or three. Might be on the road for the first. So I'll be thrilled just to get to watch them on TV. Saving the cash just makes it sweeter.

And if they spend the money on a championship calibre roster, then I can't say I mind the cash grab here.

I wouldn't spend $115 to sit in the upper deck. Having said that I may have pulled the trigger on a couple lower bowl tickets had there been two beside each other in a reasonable spot.

They'll charge what people will pay for, that should be painfully clear at this point.

Raptorman tickets up for sale.

Row 2-9 for under $200 a seat. That's the lowest around.

If the two bigger cities in the NBA, NYK and LAL made the playoffs... would this still be true? Is Brooklyn the same as NY?

Bobcat prices are the second highest in the east - average is like 120% higher than regular season price.

bobcats have no choice, they bleed money every year. can't let this opportunity go by without maximizing their money making ability

Don't really mind the super high prices because the atmosphere truly is something else.

I'm probably gonna go to game 1 (buddy gets comped seats) but aside from that I love watching sports at home.

When the Raps played Orlando the in the playoffs, me and a buddy got Row Ones! in the lower bowl for $135 each in Orlando.

It was cheaper to fly to Florida, get a room for 3 nights and see the game then to pay for row ones in Toronto.

and that's when they had howard, at the time a top 3 player in the league.

Imagine prices in toronto with a bonified superstar on the team like durant or lebron

or hell, in 8 years.. wiggins
