Raptors Got No Respect From the Refs in Boston!

But some blatantly bad calls helped turn Tony Allen from an average backup guard who fouls at a rate of over 6 per 48 minutes into an all-star caliber defender that couldn’t be beat.

And one of the roughest, most aggressive teams in the NBA was only hit with 21 personal fouls while the light hitting Raptors were charged with 27.

Jarrett Jack, who was struggling against an aggressive Tony Allen, was called for an offensive foul as he drove for the layup and was attempting his shot. Tony Allen leaps into the air in front of Jack swiping down at Jack’s arms and the “totally objective” call was Jack fouled Allen.
NBA Referees Win One For the Celtics!

Not saying the Celtics didn't play hard BUT the Raps got a raw deal in this game!

And where was the Triano in all of this - sitting on his hands and saying nothing! Wanted to reach through the TV and slap him upside of his head!

Some of the calls could be considered iffy, but let's not forget that the Celts are an established team and we are trying to crawl into something that resembles contention. Thus, we're not about to get any breaks if we allow another team to dictate the tempo of the game. Jack Armstrong made a great point in the latter stages of the game, he said that it was one of those games where the home fans never felt as if the away team had threatened Boston at all. In other words, the Raptors were never in the game, and almost spectators. When a team doesn't take charge and consequently demand respect, they often won't receive the same respect their opposition receives. It may or may not be fair, but it is often how it is.

What pissed me off the most was the Triano’s weak, quiet chats he exchanged with referees. However, Doc was going under the skin of the referees even if the Boston was having a lead throughout most of the game. No wonder we got more calls then them! Next time Triano should bring in doughnuts and THortons coffee to referees and admits he is their bitch.

Well its Boston an NBA flagship organization and currently a winning with that will contend for a ring. You have Ray Ray, The Truth and KG on the roster and a win is needed.

Yes this is convention NBA officiating just give it to the Celtics. Nothing new. NBA is what it is. The FIFA of North America

it's funny how losing teams always blame refs.

face it, when it comes to boston, our team doesn't even compare.

Toronto played like a bunch of pussies. They never faught back. I was pissed too when Perkins got a couple of BS calls but thats not why we lost. They played harder and executed a lot better than us. There wasnt a moment in that game where I thought we would win once the tip went up. We didnt go out and get it. They killed us off of picks and we never adjusted to how we played their screen roll and off the ball screens, thats the main reason why we lost besides pure determination
