Raptors To Get Some National TV Love

Looks like we're going to FINALLY be on national television in a few weeks.

ABC was supposed to broadcast the Heat and Cavs but given how terrible Miami has been this season, it was a no-brainer for the league and the TV execs to look for a better match-up to show.

However, with the Pistons locked-in to #2 in the East, and with the game on April 13TH being their third-last of the season before the playoffs begin, you’d have to think that Flip Saunders will rest many/most of his regulars … so this game could turn out to be another ‘dog’.

It’s still good publicity for the Raps nonetheless.

Why do they always televise us playing the Pistons?

It'll be a horrible game... Detroit will be mega resting their starters and we'll probably win ugly. We've had horrible "luck" when it comes to games on tv, like playing against Sacremento without Bosh? Who's watching that? If they televised our Portland game, now that'd be representative of the fun Raptors.

But still, ABC is ABC. Wow. Never thought that'd happen.

Good news ... I guess some thought that we'd still get The Score feed to the basketball game on Sunday against the Pistons, but it turns out that only feed shown will be the ABC one.

nothing stops us from playing our scrubs though. And I doubt Detroit would rest the starters when playing on national TV, that would not go well with the guys upstairs (both the NBA and the TV guys).

This will be interesting game since Detroit has a chance to influence who they will play in the 1st round... if they want to avoid Raps they will let them win but if they prefer them over Philly they will play to win.

by that time the race will be over. If we lose against the Nets, we're two games behind with 3 to go. Unless 76ers implode, there's no way we can catch them.
