I think it's pretty dangerous to put too much stock in what Bayless did late in the season in meaningless games.

Who cares as long as the better player starts...When TJ was here he was lock to start until Jose started putting up great numbers.

The better player will start with a new coach in place...Man I hope we get a coach that knows what he is really doing!

Look for the Kings and Raptors to make bids for Flynn, who faltered in general manager David Kahn’s survival-of-the-fittest plan for his point guards. Boston Globe

I wouldn't put too much stock in the numbers he posted. He did show a lot more patience and poise late in the season, though. Time will tell if it was temporary or if he is really changing and expanding his role in the offense.

I would say that if he can start the next season with the same mindset then he really has turned the corner and can be looked at as a legit starter. For me to be convinced I need to see him almost never dominate the ball, and get the offense set up and the first pass made as quickly as possible every time up the floor. That's what I think a good point guard does.

Also, he needs to raise his scoring efficiency. Mostly by threes off of motion in the offense, but if he could also refine his midrange game by getting better off of screens and pull ups it would have a similar benefit. Right now his offense seems to consist mostly of either drives or open looks.

even if flynn has a high value, with his early injuries and his inability to show any ability as a legit future NBA starting PG, he should not cost us more than bayless/jose+future top 10 protected pick.
this argument is similar to saying would you trade a top 5 pick in this years draft for greg oden.

if they want our #5 pick i'd rather keep the pick than deal it for flynn, even if flynn's potential seems to be > any of the PG options after irving.

I think people are under valuing Kemba and what he brings. Kemba > Flynn.

i agree, but kemba really reminds me of ben gordon who really is not a the type of player i want on this team

flynn really isn't that good to get excited about, and even if people think he's that good i don't think he's the type of PG we need on this team

They're not even talking of Bayless for Flynn and the picks but rather Derozan for Flynn and the picks. Unbelievable.
