Raptors Fielding Calls On Calderon

Raptors Fielding Calls On Calderon - RealGM Wiretap

You guys think we should keep or trade Calderon?

Superjudge 02-24-2012 08:20 PM

I'm not sure, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but honestly, did any of you really NOT think teams have been calling about him for three years now?

Barracuda 02-24-2012 08:21 PM

My team also wants him.

Depends what you mean. When he was playing? Or when he was passing water on the bench because his hammies hurt? :reporter:

:police: :eekout:

No. He's been pretty bad as a starter the previous two years. I believe there is more interest in him now than ever before, or at least since around 2007 before his play dropped of and he was constantly injured.

Yes we should trade him, no we probably won't.

Superjudge 02-24-2012 08:25 PM

your avatar makes me more angry than you do.

I'll sing Soft Kitty for you, Jeff. Bazinga.

LX 02-24-2012 08:27 PM

When did we get Fielding, and why is he calling on Calderon?

I love the guy, but i think we should trade him if a good offer is on the table. It'll be sad to see Jose go

no its fine i guess, i was a tad bit cranky and rereading it again got to me. though i do agree with the lot of ya. Caldy will be missed, dearly.

unless bayless suddenly becomes a consistent PG or we get a PG coming back, i don't see us trading jose this season

i could see him being traded in the off-season depending on who is drafted and potential FAs

AR1815 02-25-2012 01:36 AM

It depends on who we get in return. I like the guy and I think he's a top PG in the league - a true playmaker and a reliable offensive option. But he's not getting any younger and it may make sense to trade him when his value is high. I don't think Jose's game will suffer that much over the next few years as his shooting touch and decision making are his strengths, but he may get injured and regress in a big way. I'd be happy to see him go in return for the right young player, but I'd also be happy to see him stay and mentor a young PG to replace him down the road. Either way, there are risks involved, so it all depends on the details of the trade.

if your really be honest as a raptor fan its hard to trade jose he has been easily our second best player after bargnani

to me the bigger holes on this team are at the 2 and 3 spot
