Behind Chicago and Utah.

At least that's what I got from this.

It's because toronto's a real basketball town.

very interesting analysis. i wonder how it correlates to the other pro sports in those cities. the leafs are the big draw here. utah doesn't really have any otehr major sports draw (except maybe ncaas). chicago has the beras for the first half of teh nba season, and the blackhawks have had miserable attendance.

does this make a difference?

We should be #1.

Chicago had one of the greatest players of all time and was a dynasty about 15 years ago.

Utah has been good for AGES.

WE have sucked pretty consistently and been the butt of jokes for almost the entire time that the franchise has been in existence.

No comparison. The only fans who could possibly be more loyal are Clips fans.

The Hawks get like 12k in their arena every night, Joe Johnon, mr quiet, even complained about the lack of people showing up to games earlier this year. If we had that caliber of team we'd sell out every night and the place would be rocking like it was the last 2 gams for 41 games.

yeah now, but not in the bad years. i'm thinking 1994-2005, save for 95-96 and 01-02 must have been pretty bad.

I don't think Toronto's cities population should really be that low. If you use the Megacity Toronto has the 4th largest population in the NBA. I dunno but whatever its worth 3rd is nice.

No offense to Canada, but majorly because Toronto's the only NBA team in the country

Mehhhh, the Raptors have little popularity outside the GTA. So it has little to do with the country as a whole. The fact is, there are alot of basketball fans in this area, mainly because of the divers cultures.

I'm surprised how low golden state is. I know that in the past 10 years they haven't made much noise in the nba in the past 10 years but I've always thought there fans were still loyal especially during the 2007 playoffs.

I agree Fancy.

But we as a city also tolerate losing better than most places because we've had our fair share.

Jays fans are only starting to get fed up now, and in a year or so, so will the Leafs fans.

We love our sports and are fiercely loyal.
