seems pretty accurate. I think #5 maybe a little more fact, though its more due to the changes in our division then the absence of Bosh.

If recover from losing him means get back to ~.500 basketball, fiction.
It can happen with a few minor tweaks + draft Harrison Barnes or whoever in a pimped draft next year + a healthy 2012-13 from everyone.

To be honest, I'm not all the worried about the team direction right now.

I think going young and keeping with that strategy is the right way to go!

As long as we don't do something stupid and trade away some good prospects for an over the hill vet, I"m fine.

Like signing Chandler, for instance.

You guys have been betting on young prospects since 1995, I'm surprised some of you still are patient...

Not really. Last year was the first youth movement in a very long time.

Even when Chris Bosh was starting out, Toronto was not a particularilly young team.

5 playoff appearances and a division title since 2000 isn't great, but some have had it worse. Too bad we only have one series win. And 15yrs in this city is pretty much fuck all when it comes to patience for sports success. First 5 seasons are a wash for any expansion team, 2000-2007 we had some pretty decent teams and they were fun to watch. Two of the last 3 seasons have been very tough to watch though.

I agree, watching the young team this last year was much better than the previous two. We finally got some exciting basketball with ball movement and athleticism along with seeing some guys take some steps toward improving their game. The year Smitch got fired was not fun and the year with hedo was definitely not. Hey Coach.

I was talking about the 09-10 team that was the 3rd hottest team in the NBA for a couple months and won 40 games, the final results were awful though. 08-09/10-11 were very frustrating teams to watch.

I thought that season was just as frustrating... the ridiculous MVP talk and the franchise player nonsense.... and there clearly was the Bosh leaving drama that maybe you didn't find annoying. I guess I was hoping for a Bosh for Lamarcus trade all season that never went down.

To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to bear with unbearable sorrow, to run where the brave dare not go....

It ended up being frustrating, but really mid December to the end of February was amazing fun to watch. At the all-star break we were 4th in the Conference and pushing for 3rd. The wins against the Lakers, Mavs, Spurs etc... were some of the best games in years. That team really should have been a playoff team, which of course alone makes it frustrating but still. I enjoyed a good part of that season.

I was talking about all the teams being losers. The leafs might be the biggest losers but they're far from the only ones.
