Default Raptors Extremely Interested in Blair

Blair welcomes comparisons with Charles Barkley and said he hopes to emulate current NBA players Paul Millsap, Craig Smith and Glen "Big Baby" Davis, all outstanding rebounders despite being undersized.

Blair worked out for the Phoenix Suns earlier this week and weighed 289 pounds, so he lost 14 pounds in about three days.

"I'm not going to let that (weight) be an issue," Blair said. "That's not going to bring me down. I like the way I feel. I'm addicted to the weight room now.

"My nutritionist is on me hard - no more candy bars or fried chicken. It's a high-protein diet and low carbs, and I can stay in shape that way."

The recent success of Utah's Millsap and Houston Rockets forward and Milwaukee native Carl Landry could help Blair, one of the few legitimate power forwards in the lottery portion of the draft.

Griffin will be the No. 1 pick, although he said Thursday he was not totally convinced he would wind up with the Los Angeles Clippers, who hold the top choice but could trade it.

Other power forwards expected to be lottery picks include 6-10 junior Jordan Hill of Arizona, who could be a top-five selection; and 6-9 sophomore James Johnson of Wake Forest.

Blair said he interviewed with four teams Wednesday at the combine - the Bucks, San Antonio, Indiana and Toronto. The Raptors, who have the No. 9 pick, also are said to be extremely interested in Blair.

Bucks assistant general manager Jeff Weltman traveled to Bradenton, Fla., earlier this month to watch Blair and other prospects work out at the IMG Academy.

Blair confirmed he will work out for the Bucks in June, in addition to several other teams, including Indiana, Sacramento, Oklahoma City, Charlotte, New jersey and Chicago.

Alright I'm calling "smoke screen" no way a team is so interested in a guy who may not be there...and lets everyone know.

Well, given the fact that the Bucks at #10 are probably going to need to find a replacement for Charlie V and they've expressed interest in Blair I would not rule that out.

14 pounds in three days? Ladies and gentleman I'd like to introduce Dajuan Blair's eating disorder.

Maybe Milwaukee orchestrates a trade to move up and snag Blair. Jefferson and Bogans for Bosh and the pick?

you know we need him

with all the fouls being given in the playoffs for just going towards the basket and being physical we need someone to draw fouls

get opponents in foul trouble, go to the line

Blair's toughness would be a nice shot in the arm for this team, but I don't see him as being a necessary pickup for this team's success. If the right offer is there, BC will have no trouble parting with him.

While watching the Final Four this year, I don't know if I was more impressed by Blair's D against Thabeet or more suspicious of Thabeet's ability. Still not sure if he's the kind of guy the Raptors need, but there are worse picks that could be made.

Actually it's quite easy for someone his size to lose 14lbs in three days on a low carb diet and since it was authorized by his nutritionist, I think we can rule out disorder

Classy post there, bud.

You really think Blair is gonna be around in the 20s? Yeah right. Blair's stock is going up much like Kevin Love's did last year. Blair is guaranteed to go in the lottery.

Delfino?

2nd pick could be a defensive SG like Danny Green or Ellington

1-0 to start the season would bring my Raptors back even if it was short lived
