Gotta go with a point guard. And the Raps can't screw it up this year either. Kyrie, Kemba or Knight. One will be available.

My board as of right now:

Irving

Barnes/Kanter
The mock draft isn't based on which team will take which player, just who they think is the order from best player to least. After the lottery they start doing that.

yeah with an experienced Center via trade or signing, not another 5yr project. Drafting Centers sucks unless it's a dwight howard type. if we draft a center i'll be beyond pissed.

ps: Bargs isn't gone yet

True. Well lets grab a PG and stuff like dat. Lol if you listen to reggie evans during any interview he'll say "stuff like dat"like 40 times.

Reporter: so how did you become so healthy and fit?

Reggie Evans: just eating healthy and working out and stuff like dat

sorry got a little off topic, i was watching the reggie evans year end interview.

We can upgrade at the PG through the draft. Irving, Walker, Knight. If none are available, do like last year and take the best player at that spot.

I'd rather take Derrick Williams then Walker or Knight if he's still there. If we pick 3rd and Irving and Williams are gone it's a tough call, i'd say Barnes but it looks like he isn't going into the draft. But i would say it would leave us with Walker, Jones, Knight, Kanter???

Yeah I would too, but I'd rather get a PG. Maybe draft Williams and use him as trade bait for something? But if Irving is out, then at our draft spot pick whoever is the best depending who is left is all I'm saying. Right now I'm not sure what Minny will do. I don't know if Kahn will just draft another PG (Irving) or address their need (Kanter). With Cleveland, I think they might get Derrick Williams as number 2 pick and then draft maybe Walker or Knight with their other 1st round pick.

I think if Kyrie goes before we pick, we trade down in the draft.

Instead of drafting Knight or Walker at our spot, we can trade our pick to a team with a later pick in the lottery and pick up an asset along the way.

For example, Cleveland wants a small forward. We can trade down for their Clippers pick (assuming it's lower than ours) and draft a Walker or Knight at that spot.

or we can just draft someone projected higher and trade him away later??? i think its always best in the lottery picks to get the better player and then move him after for whatever you want

My board:

1. Irving
2. Williams
3. Trade down and get Knight
4. Trade down and get Walker
5. Kanter

Barnes would be #2 if he declared

Player I want us to get if we trade for a pick in the 2nd round: David Lighty SF Ohio State

i just want a rook who has a very high WORK ETHIC. if a guy like Brandon Knight is known as the blue collar worker, while Kyrie Ivring is said to be lazy. I'd take Brandon Knight at first pick.

Why all of you take Kanter before Jonas v? Kanter is not playing for a year now and he just declared he wants to be Andrea Bargnani type of player and a PF. Ha, good luck with that guy.

If we can get Irving, Williams or Barnes I will be soo happy. If we drop and get someone like Jimmer, Kemba or Knight I would be happy as well. I think Jimmer would be exciting, use him kind of like how Detroit used to use RIP. Or how Boston uses Allen.

i want nothing to do with Jimmer.
1) hes a senior so he's got little upside (some would say if any at all)
2) hes a shooter who's notorious for his bad defense (do we really need another one of those)
3) his last game damaged his stock significantly (wasn't high to begin with, but still it hurts)
4) he is undersized (and not athletic enough to make up for it) at the 2 in the NBA.
5) doesn't have the handles or qualities of a point guard
6) he is not a team player (going back to his last game), he doesn't trust his teammates enough and i don't know the exact stat but he has a ridiculously low number of assists. put into consideration he is a guard, best player on his team, so therefore should demand A LOT of attention, yet the assists numbers are way too low.

He carried BYU on his back all season. I don't think his stock dropped at all because of his last game. He's a tremendous talent, If we drop in the draft I see no reason not to take him. Sure, we need defense, but we also have some pretty shitty offence half the time. This dude has been working on his point game, but I don't care where he plays. Would be an excellent player for any team to have. Kind of reminds me of eddie house with that instant offence.
