The statistical probability will remain the same regardless of whether or not I mention it to some dudes on a message board.

It says Kanter, with Vesely going 6th.

NBADraft.net is awfully inconsistent with their mock; they did have the Raps taking Vesely.

My board as of right now:

Irving
Williams
Barnes/Kanter

Its official Derrick Williams decides to enter draft. Your turn next Harrison Barnes:

"University of Arizona men's basketball player Derrick Williams has decided to make himself eligible for the 2011 NBA Draft. Williams intends to sign with an agent and will not return to the program in 2011-12."

Derrick Williams Declares for NBA Draft - University of Arizona Wildcats Official Athletic Site

I want Harrison Barnes. He is the better defender than Demar so he can guard the opponent's best wing player. Also, he has an outstanding perimeter game which would give more room for Demar to penetrate to the basket. If the Raps are going to improve their defense, it would great to obtain a lock-down wing player than a power forward trying to adjust to a small forward.

got a sneaky suspicion that the Raps will end up with the second pick. And Cleveland will get the first.

No way Raptors taking ''Dunking Ninja''. Sf spot is full and he is not that special if some of you saying do not draft for position. In the other hand, he is special, he is damn Jan Vesely. Fuckin love that guy.

Not too many 6'8 power forwards go #1.

I Agree with you completely if Barnes is in fact one of the better defensive players in the draft. Not saying that he isn't, i really don't know. But what i do know is this team needs to concentrate on defense, and getting the best mixture of defence, rebounding and toughness as well as some offence would definitely make for the biggest statistical difference in game situations.

We'll use Bargnani as an example. One of the better offensive players in the league but we're all ready to run him out of town becauses scoring alone does not make you a top notch NBA player. If you can find a player that averages just 15 points a game and contributes greatly in the defensive end in all aspects of the game than that makes you by far a more difficult and cohesive unit to play against.

I heard Barnes is going back to school, so after Irving and Williams i don't see many impact players.

If the Raptors score the #1 or #2 pick, I wonder if they might be able to move down to pick up Bismack Biyombo plus either Kemba Walker or Brandon Knight.

If they can't draft Irving (and maybe even if they can), another option might be to try to move Bargnani for Rubio (or another point guard) and move down in the draft to pick up Biyombo and another athletic wing.

Based on some recent scouting reports, Biymombo sounds like the type who could transform the Raptors defensively (with Davis, Johnson), like a more skilled Dennis Rodman (without the personality issues).

and elton brand was a way more established player skillwise of both defense and offense, he was a clear number 1

Why are you so high on Wiliams?? He couldn't do shit against Tristan Thompson and TT is playing PF! How you want him to play SF in NBA?? He is too slow.
