Default Raptors don't have any useful plays

If you compare Raptors to other teams, other teams always are moving and getting open but the only play we have is give it to Turk or Bosh, they hold it 10 sec for the DE to get back and at the end takes a bad shot; or swing the ball around 3 point line and when we have no shot everyone freezes and once again we take bad shot.

What, a Reggie Evans pick and roll isn't a useful play?

Once Reggie gets a hold of the ball he's not letting go of it unless he scores or turns it over.

Their plays are always give it to Bosh and stand and watch what he does. They don't even go into the paint to contest for boards. Hell, I've seen many instances where they team starts to head for the other side of the court before the ball even starts to go towards the hoop.

yeah it's fucking ridiculous, especially when he was first getting back into the line-up and looking for the ball after the first six seconds

like, are you fucking serious??

get ur points off putbacks, not set plays

and obviously JT hasn't addressed that issue w/ him

They are all PnR. Sometimes we get lucky and somehow we get an open shot

you guys are completely forgetting about running down the floor in order to force a pass into a crowd

but seriously - having players good at reading and reacting is much more useful than a huge playbook - and this team has some pretty good players on the offensive side of the ball - that's really just not a problem.

I thought this thread was 'Raptors don't have any useful players and felt like agreeing but I have no comment on this subject

WRONG.

It's when they're not calling plays that the Raps fail.

Triano has shown time and time again that his play calling acumen is top notch. The players have full confidence in this, and it's apparent before every key play. They're all on the same page, know their roles, and believe 100% that it's going to work. That's why the Raps have shown excellent 4th quarter execution, and have had so many come from behind wins this season.

It's not the few key play calls that have been the problem for the team this year. It's quarters 1 to 3, when the game is more fluid, that the Raptors have fallen behind.

Do you really think that this is a play call? Or just something that happens during a game?

We have a 6'10 PG, a 7 FT SG, and maybe the best PF in the game who can take it to the basket and hit the outside shot.

The pick and roll is all we need. Similarly, Triano is one of the best in the league for scoring after timeouts (obviously his plays are amazing).

We are one of the best offensive teams in the league. It's our defence that's sh*t. Waive Calderon!!

Calderon is very good at finding his pull-up jumpers, his three point jumpers, his pnr jumpers... He is becoming less of a pg except for his dump-in to bosh...

The Raps need to share the ball and use more movement on offence, not just worry about plays. Backdoor cuts, cutting through the lane, these things are matter of fact for the Jazz and many other teams.

Raps need to stop letting the defence set, and then settling for the jumper... Bosh especially.
