Default The Raptors' Best General Manager

so who do you think was the best GM the Toronto Raptors have had?
wayne embry was gm after babcock for only a month, and Jack McCloskey was GM after grunwald for 2 months so we wont count them.

Grunwald was dreadful.

His draft history, his use of draft picks in trades and his free agent signings for the most part stunk.

It's quite difficult to pick the less of four evils.

I'd say Babcock did the best with what he had.

grunwald put together a team that almost made it to do eastern conference finals.
second round, we lost game 7.

Yogi Stewart was a good signing?

Signing all Vince's buddies to long franchise debilitating contracts wasn't that great.

Nate Huffman, how'd that work out?

Wow, great thanks for the info.

Every good move he made was negated by two or three other dreadful moves.

whatever happened worked better than whatever else a raptors' gm has tried.

Colangelo by far. Has gotten good results with very little. He put the team together that got us our only Division title. And has given much needed respect to the Raptors. And he's essentially just getting started, while our second best GM (Grunwald) had 7 seasons.I say after 7 seasons (if he chooses to stay) BC will go down as our best GM if he isn't seen that way already, even with the state of the team at the present time. He's only been here 2 1/2 years!

Yea jeff I agree. It's only been 3 years and he already made a team that matced the best record in team history, butsaying that, right now, Grunfeld is the best GM because he made a team with really good players on it that took the Raps to the seconf round

Wasting draft picks on stiffs and as trading chips and signing players to long franchise debilitating contracts that we were still feeling thr effects of well beyond his tenure...brilliant!
