I know it's just Summer League, I know, but Ross' stats of this game (and the previous actually) are quite discouraging, especially if compared to the first game. What happened?

Chucking? He had 11 shots and shot like 40+ percent.

He is the main offensive weapon on this team(at least from any kind of range), of he didnt shoot, we wouldnt score 50 points.

No matter, we will get plenty of JV in the Olympics. Much better competition/basketball to watch.

This is also true, but I wanted him with our team as much as possible. Ateast he gets Kleiza I guess.

I'm kind of underwhelmed that Ed Davis can't dominate a summer league game. For some reason I pictured him being a lot better than an "above average" summer leaguer.

He is shooting very well when open, but i saw him taking MJ type of shots and barely hitting rim. I just hope he is not going to do that as a raptor

Yea the only thing Ed has been able to show is his jump shot, everything else doesn't jump out at all.

some of you guys are putting a little too much weight into the summer league.

the summer league has always been a show of guard play, whether davis dominate or not is completely irrelevant, especially when you're not seeing plays designed for him so he can take over offensively. the fact that he's there getting conditioning is what's important.

as for ross, what's not to like about his game that you guys are seeing? the 'chucking' comes with the green light he's been given. it's not something you're going to see during the season.

for me it's more watching him get burned on his own end. Sam Mitchell was calling the game and was dicing him up pretty good.

I'm Sure he can figure it out, but I hope he does fast.

Micah Nori has an interview on Raptors.com

Micah Nori - July 16, 2012 | video | THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE TORONTO RAPTORS

Talking a little bit about fatigue, etc... Interesting too, but it sounds like Ben Uzoh has the upper-hand in being the third PG for this team @ 1:10

Also, some "insider information" as Nori says that the team is "pretty set at 2, 4 and 5", but could be primarily looking for a 3rd PG (again, mentioned Uzoh), and someone at the 3 spot.

Just to know: his 2pts field goal attempted are shots or even dunks?

Just looking at the stats - it appears Ed played quite well. I'm a bit puzzled by the complaints about him.

Ed was ok LX, I guess the thing with him is that nothing seems like it comes easy for him. But as far as those games, he was fine, he just does little to make you feel like he's an impact player in the NBA is all.

I think plenty comes easy for him, and he needs to be able to push himself to do a little to play outside of what he can do instinctually. If there was any impact player on the Raptors last season, outside of scoring, it was Ed. If he could get a bit more of a motor going on him, he'd be pretty invaluable. And he is going to need to be able to score a bit more. I think he showed some progress in that respect so far this offseason.
