don't make me start the talk about 2014 draft, we all know that's the reason behind tanking. If it would be any other year I would be happy to make that playoff push

i don't want to be pessimistic about tanking, but if it was the case, don't you think BC wouldn't have with the agreement of the ownership trade for rudy gay ?

Mu said basicly that he will give this roster and the coach a certain labs of time to see what that roster can do. he just brings some pieces DC needed.

so tank nation, sorry, but that won't happen. or at least not for the top 6-8 picks i suppose.

BC had a green light to make decisions, and he did.. TL didn't like them and his philosophy, that is why BC got fired. It is very likely that MU will want to create his own team.

He said that he wants to see/evaluate what he has, he doesn't want to throw away players, just to tank. Yet he is very well aware how good the draft is, he still needs time.

I'm not trying to convince you that we are tanking, don't understand why anti-tank guys always try to convince us that we are not. Believe what you wish, but neither of us know what will happen between now and the draft..

That 2009/2010 team wasn't half bad on paper. Forgot we had Jack still and Amir was just brought over. Should have made the playoffs that year if not for some key injuries.

Jack......................................Jose/Banks
Demar...................................Belinelli
Sonny....................................Wright/Hedo
Bosh......................................Amir/Reggie
Bargs (the decent version).........Reggie/Rasho

That team only had one major injury and that was to Bosh for the last 10 games or so. Jose also had an injury around mid-way of the season too but Jack played better than him anyways as a starter at that time. There was even rumblings that Bosh was fine to play but didn't want to. That team just didn't care for the most part of the season. They could've been top 4 in the East at that time and we finished one game back of 8th. It was simply they didn't care enough to play to their potential. Having Hedo and Bargs didn't help.

Bosh went down with an injury February 17th, at which time we were the 5th seed. He returned for a while after missing close to 2 weeks but struggled before getting injured again. The last 6 weeks to that season was as bizarre as it gets. Complete meltdown, Bosh only missed 12 games but it was enough to disrupt our momentum and from that point on it was painful to watch. Jose missed a month (mid December to mid Jan) but that's when we started playing well (from 9th seed to 5th). If Hedo Turkoglu would have stepped up when Bosh went down we would have been a playoff team. IMO the 2009-10 team had more overall talent than the 2006-07 team. Too bad they had less heart.

I don't remember him getting injured in February. He played 70 games that season. So didn't he just miss the last 12?

He missed 7 games from February 19th to March 5th. When he came back he struggle a little and we lost 6 of our next 7 games and that was the beginning of the end as we went from 5th to 8th in the EC. Then he got hurt again just prior to that game vs Chicago with 8th seed on the line and we all know how that went.

I remember those first few games when Bosh came back from the injury. He and the team rushed him back to stay in the playoff picture, but he wasn't ready.

And no I'm not about to start speculating on Bosh giving up. The guy played injured after coming back too early. Plain and simple.

Second half of that season was a nightmare.
