I thought that was obvious to begin with that they would try to move em.

I hope we can get something for him..we won't be able to resign him in the off season so we might as well try to get some young talent and send him t oa contender...Maybe to the celtics for Avery Bradley?

Ex2k 02-24-2011 12:00 PM

I'd hate to see him go though...:sigh:

Hahh, yeah right.

Someone told me that the Raptors want to try and get Bledsoe. lol

damn feel sorry for Reggie seems like he really likes it here and is loved by almost everyone.
And since no brought this up he's been practicing which could have resulted in the sudden intesity on D that was provided in the chicago game (most notably Andrea), just a thought.

We should pursue Flynn.. Pile on the youth!

I don't think it's that we can't resign him, we just have Amir and Ed.. Although Reggie did make a very serviceable tandem with Andrea.

I'd think that BC would do this only as a favour to Reggie, to get him on a team going somewhere to audition for his next contract. That is, unless we could also get back someone useful.

b55bgc 02-24-2011 12:24 PM

He may not fit in the youth movement here in Toronto, but the team needs some defensive leadership. And he definitly provides that. I say keep him.

Ex2k 02-24-2011 12:33 PM

Cant have all youth thou... Need some vets too... Reggie would still be a great fit here .... for the right price

LilRomeo 02-24-2011 12:34 PM

I'd love if BC trade Evans for KryptoNate.

Well, that's it too, this is why I think he should stay around but unless the plan is to play him behind bargnani, we're in a real shit twister.

Chiggmo 02-24-2011 12:36 PM

Don't need Reggie at all, let em go...

b55bgc 02-24-2011 12:58 PM

We need someone like reggie here more than someone like SOnny Weems, who is becoming an extinct dinosaur on the team. I had allot of hope for him, but sadely he aint performing like he did last year.

thought 02-24-2011 01:19 PM

at the beginning of the year it didn't seem like sonny knew how to handle the increased responsibility. then he turned the corner and started getting into a groove, and i was liking what i saw from him on both ends. then the injury came. maybe it was for the best, i think the injury has made the decision about re-signing him a whole lot easier.

Why? He is a waste of floor space. Has no offensive game and can rebound, cool....except we most likely wont resign him which means yet another developing player will be set back with less playing time......Trade his ass

Superjudge 02-24-2011 02:50 PM

If I were building a winner, I'd keep Reggie.

surreyjack 02-24-2011 02:52 PM

His injury really fucked it up for us we could have got a prospect/1st round pick in return but now we'll be lucky if we get a 2nd rounder. Fuck you Reggie.

a prospect and a 1st rounder for a healthy Reggie Evans? Doubtful to say the least.
