Raps talking to Reggie Williams (Forbes update)

Another depth guy I guess and another guy who can hit the 3.

Woj says Raps poking around Reggie Williams. Assume it's insurance in case Forbes is matched by Denver (also looking at Williams).

Good signing, fits in with the youth movement going on.

Dark Knight 12-12-2011 10:38 PM

I'd take Reggie Williams over Forbes anyday, and I'm a really by Gary Forbes supporter. With the right coaching, Reggie could sneak into that starting 3 spot.

jeffb 12-12-2011 10:39 PM

Not bad at all. He can certainly score. Not sure about his D though?

Ball Don't Lie 12-12-2011 11:52 PM

Reggie Williams is a gifted scorer and is very underrated. Unlike Butler and Forbes, he can actually be a solid rotation player for basically all NBA teams. He'd be a great pickup at the right price and a nice piece we can hold on to going in to the future. His ceiling I think is a high scoring 6th man/fringe starter in spots. Forbes and Butler are scrubs.

agreed. I like his game (have to admit only seen him a few times and read a bit about him,) he can flat out score and seems level-headed.

forbes and butler are guys who could come in and have a good night and excite us, but williams is a guy who could stay with us in the future, be a great role-player, maybe 6th man or even yeah, an outside chance of improving enough to be worth a starting role.

make it happen.

this was brought up yesterday. he could be a fallback for us if the nuggets were to match forbes' offer sheet. good pick-up if we can grab him on the cheap.

LKeet6 12-13-2011 04:44 PM

i really want him!

Don Vito 12-13-2011 04:45 PM

Reggie > Forbes any day.

Forbes = another sonny weems.

dfunkie1 12-13-2011 04:53 PM

sonny weems is never a bad thing to have if he's playing a suitable role.

either or is a depth move who won't see a lot of playing time. whoever comes cheaper is who i'm rooting for.

Claudius 12-13-2011 09:51 PM

I wonder if we're still interested in Williams, now that Forbes is official.

I'd cut Butler in a heartbeat to get Reggie.

JDMtors 12-13-2011 10:04 PM

I never really liked Butler at all tbh, so Ill rather have Williams > Butler

It looks like Reggie made the choice, not the money.
