Just found out the Raptors have signed free agent forward Jamal Sampson.

More to come.

Wonder what does this mean about Jawai?

Or is he extra fodder because a trade is going to happen involving one of the bigs (Hump) and AP for a better wing (Howard)

Not sure, but likely insurance incase Jawai can't make it this season.

I think your reading into things a little too much and Humps + Parker and change for Howard would be insulting if your a Mavs fan.

I agree, just thought it would bring about some dialogue.

minimum contracts don't effect the salary cap. although we have little to no wiggle room, i would have liked to have had us try and sign michael ruffin. imo he'd be the ideal 5th big who can come in and mix it up.

As long as he's not throwing the ball up in the air, yeah, he'd be alright - he's got a decent game. And he's from close to Toronto (Buffalo), so a lot of friends/family could see him on a regular basis.

I swear I just saw a thing that said Ruffin is already with the Bulls and had been hoping to sign with the Nuggets because he's from Denver.

My bad.. I was probably thinking of TREVOR Ruffin (who played in the NBA as well is from Buffalo). Michael Ruffin is from Denver. Sorry about that guys.

shitty, he's a bruiser. maybe we can call-up danny fortson and get him to agree to wearing a shocker that'll zap him every time he opens his mouth.

I like Sampson. He's a solid athlete who can rebound, which is all they're going to need to rest O'Neal or Bosh.
