Raps pursuing Dragic

Quote:

. A source close to unrestricted free agent point guard Goran Dragic said the Raptors, Suns, Nets, Hornets, Lakers and Rockets have all expressed interest thus far. The Rockets, for whom Dragic shined in the second half of last season, are said to be coming on the strongest. Yet Dragic, according to the source, has a serious interest in being part of a winning team and will consider that factor as much as the money. The source made it clear, however, that Dragic expects to be a starter for whichever team he ultimately signs with.

It's not known whether he would return to the Rockets if they can't find a new home for point guard Kyle Lowry, who has been vocal in his displeasure for head coach Kevin McHale and clearly wants out. Dragic has not taken any visits yet and is expected to return from Europe on Monday.

LET'S GO RAPTORS!!!!! 07-02-2012 10:17 AM

I really hope we're not out of the race for Lowry

JoeyJoJo Shabbadu 07-02-2012 12:17 PM

Every team listed is at the bottom or on the decline (Lakers especially). Raptors are the only team getting better. We have a shot IMO.

Raptors1995 07-02-2012 12:43 PM

Please don't, I'd rather take Lowry or no one.

I'm ahead of Nelson? :dancing:

eazy187 07-02-2012 01:23 PM

...or maybe Darren Collison? Since the Pacers are going with George Hill long term.

Ex2k 07-02-2012 01:29 PM

I want no part of LIN

Calderon please if Nash/Lowry are off the table

pzabby 07-02-2012 01:39 PM

whats collisons contract situation? Can we trade for him?

J-Bo 07-02-2012 01:45 PM

^ he is a free agent :police:

Metallikid 07-02-2012 03:23 PM

If we get Nash I'm actually hoping we can deal for K-Mart. He's probably the cheapest good scorer we could get these days.

Dario 07-02-2012 03:27 PM

Lol.... Lin>Calderon younger and more potential

If you're referring to Darren Collison, the Pacers already picked up their option on him for the 2012-2013 season.

Collison and Hill are a good combo PG for the pacers, smart move for them

Good God you're insane with these options - over the hill and junk parts at the end of their careers. Where the hell is SJ to set this straight!!!!! :cookie:

The Nashes yes, and the KG's yes, and the Kidd's yes, other then a few exceptions, no.

MBailey85 07-02-2012 04:28 PM

I'd rather Toronto pursue Jeremy Lin and would also rather keep Jose Calderon for one more season than see them sign Goran Dragic.
