I would rather keep Jose for another year than sign Dragic.

Not sure why you guys are so hard on Dragic. His stats are similar to Caldy's before Caldy became the full time pg. As soon as Dragic started for Houston his stats looked pretty damn good, only differences are I think Dragic can run the fast break better and is quicker on D.

Good point Doc...It's probably easier to acquire Lowry than sign Dragic.

I'm not sure if the salaries are even put LA could send Gasol to Houston for Scola & Lowry. That's fair in my opinion. May be even through in Lee and another piece from LA.

Calderon was more consistent, played within team offense and did not demand a starting role. Plus Goran doesnt nearly have his Ast/TO ratio

Dragic's not a big improvement over Jose. They're pretty much the same type of player. I think keeping Jose's expiring contract and using him for another year would be better. Try a back loaded offer for Lin or just try to land Lowry instead.

If Nash signs, Jose has to be amnestied for sure. It will be a sad end to his career in Toronto. He was always professional and loved playing for us.

Probably because by signing Nash and amnestying Jose, we have, at best, less than 10 million in cap space. And Portland, who has Batum's RFA rights, would not even hesitate to match an offer that low.

Only way to make this work would be to trade Jose for cap space, amnesty Kleiza or Amir, and throw 12 or 13 million a year at Batum.. Even then, he seems to prefer Minnesota (who have already made a similar offer), and there's still no guarantee Portland doesn't match. Batum is very, very unlikely to happen for the Raps.

Batum may favor Toronto if they have the right pieces in place. but Kirilenko is interesting too.

Batum is picking between 2 teams - the Wolves and Portland. He's suspended all visits to any other team now. Portland can match and have outright stated they would - Wouldn't you? If you all love Batum and his potential don't you think Portland does as well?

Hey man, I agree 1000%, seems everyone forgets there are 29 other teams.

Besides, Batum already hate Toronto right isn't that the rumour. He's mad that Toronto shied away when he was a red flag player.

Take the Russian, they are way tougher than the French anyhow.

Hey now, take it as it is, might be the bearer of bad news but Batum did state he suspended any visits to other teams and Portland really wants him to stay. Considering many teams' issues for an SF I would be surprised that Portland would let a player of Batum's potential go. Besides with Batum, Portland may now have Hibbert/Aldridge/Batum/Matthews with the only hole really being PG. That's a pretty young and dynamic line-up.

Lillard/Matthews/Batum/Aldridge/Hibbert - That is a good young line-up with a tremendous amount of potential. Damn, Toby must be grinning right now!

If they don't get Hibbert they still have Leonard, great position for that team.

Are you kidding? They were a .400 team and they're adding hibbert. At best they will necime a .500 team with no prospects for improving and there's a good chance hibbert will be a bad fit because aldridge was at his best playing C near the basket. They will have have 45 million tied up by aldridge/hibbert/batum. They'll be lucky to be a playoff team in the west.
