Why are you so opposed to Dragic? The dude has shown a lot more in this league than Lin and also showed a serious increase this past year. He also plays defense. I wouldn't mind Lin either just saying.

i know it's not very "sexy" but i'd still be delighted with dragic and ilyasova.

i'll still be loving it if we get nash tho.

We're all in with Nash, if he doesn't sign, he hates canada, end of story

I don't think he's a bad player, I liked him in Phoenix playing behind Nash. I feel individually he can put up good numbers but i'm the least confident in Dragic compared to Lin,Nash and Calderon when it comes to making players around you better. That factor matters alot in my opinion in Toronto, because alot of the Raptors rely on the Point Guard's to get them going and make their offensive game easier. we all know Nash's pedigree on that front. Calderon has done a a good job helping his teammates get easy baskets during his tenure in Toronto. Lin showed by he can make his teammates better during the Knicks mid season playoff push when he elevated Steve Novak,Amare Stoudemire,Landry Fields amongst others game. I think Dragic can do so too but at this point i'm more convinced or confident in the other three at doing so.

If Goran played for the Lakers now, that would be perfect. Their big 3 (Bryant,Gasol,Bynum) doesn't need their point guard to make them better. He can focus on his game as well as distrubuting the ball to them without an imbalance.

I'm not suggesting he can't do it,I state that later in my post but i just think Lin,Nash and Calderon is better at doing that, which is why i was telling "Doc" why i prefer Dragic last of the considered names for Point Guard. I believe for this team, the most important quality/skill in a PG is if he could make his teammates better or get easier baskets?!

i hear ya. imo the order for making team-mates better is nash, jose, dragic, lowry, lin. but dragic brings more other aspects that jose doesn't have.

the order for best for the raps going forward would be dragic, lowry, nash, jose, lin. All would be good and nash brings more than just his play.

I think LKeet6 was just disagreeing with that is all. I was just curious and I respect your position. I like the youth of Lowry/Dragic/Lin. All 3 come with pros and cons.

I do too, they all appear to be smart players too

One thing i did leave out in Goran's case, is that he didn't get starting opportunities. That could benefit him with the Raptors knowing that he has the green light to run the offense, something he's said that he wants (which i like) so it could definitely workout.

When Lin figures out that giving the ball to the other team is bad, then maybe you can call him smart.
Till then ...

This makes things interesting.

But Dragic left town without a deal, sources said, leading one source close to the process to say that the lefty's expected return to the Rockets is "not going to happen." Dragic is scheduled Tuesday to visit the Phoenix Suns, who dealt him to the Rockets at the 2011 trade deadline.

Dragic is said to be seeking an annual salary of at least $10 million and, according to sources familiar with his thinking, expects to be installed as the starter wherever he lands.

If Houston and Dragic are far apart, it looks like Lowry is no longer an option at all

I hear the Lakers are interested. I think that's a great fit for Dragic as I was saying earlier one of my earlier posts.

Appears so but I think he could still be had. Just need a few dominoes to fall first.

IF that's a hard target of the Raps. 10mil... I know you like the idea of the Lakers but that amount wouldn't be easy for them to absorb. Im curious, if the Lakers have to do a S&T to get Dragic and according to some Lowry is so much better than Dragic, then why wouldn't the Lakers just trade for him instead?
