Raps don't have representation on the Labour Relations Committee

I just assumed all 30 teams had some sort of representation.

And while I don’t imagine this organization holds a lot of sway league-wide – and it doesn’t have a representative on the labour relations committee – I would think they’d have to be urging the others to find some middle ground and get a deal done, if for no other reason than to stop the erosion of interest from both the fans and the media.

That wasn't my point.

I don't know why, but I just assumed with each owner having hundreds upon hundreds of millions of dollars at stake, that all teams would have equal representation at the meetings. I didn't know it was only a 12 person committee.

we are an unique team in that we have both a large and a small market profile. We make money with the best of them, and thus resemble the lakers and knicks of the league, but we also struggle to attract/retain stars, like the small market teams. So for us it doesn't really matter which side prevails (within the owners internal struggle), we'd win some and lose some regardless.

this team is a cash cow for the owners, massive market (wealthier) to fill the arena. however on a grand scale in terms of selling merchandise(whooring the league) i'd say the team is limited and small market. it takes quite the talent to sell an american on a canadian jersey and that 300 mil market is what horns up the league. This is the same reason why the nhl was so hesitant to grow the number of teams in canada, they were obessed with cracking the major market and making that nfl type merchandise sales
