Raps coming to Montreal

DanH, you're in luck.

Hey, Montreal, guess what?

The Raptors are coming.

For a pre-season game.

Don’t have the exact date, believe I heard Oct. 7, and there is nothing on tickets right now but they’ll definitely be in town.

Which is more than I can say for the last time they tried to get there.

It was way back in the day, maybe the second pre-season, and they tried to get a game down there. Couldn’t sell a ticket to save their souls and abandoned the idea before it got embarrassing.

I have no idea where basketball fits in the sporting landscape in the city – I know about the Habs being even more Leaf-like than the Leafs are here – so it’ll be interesting to see what kind of exhibition game crowd they’ll get in the Forum, or the Bell Centre or the Molson Centre or whatever it is they call that shrine these days.

They'll draw flies. When people call Toronto an Event town Montreal is even worst. Its either a big Event or the Habs

are pre-season games worth it
do they lower the price of the tickets
because I was suppose to go to a game this year with my brother
so wich is more valuable
-going to a season game plus the waiting time to get to Toronto
or
-going to a pre-season game

Their not gonna go to a neutral city for a game that doesn't count without the tickets prices being pretty low. That being said, if you have a choice between an exhibition game or regular season game, skip the exhibition game. Or go to both considering I think the tickets in Montreal will be pretty cheap.

man if i lived in a city other than a team i liked and that team happened to play a game where i lived, i'd go pretty much no matter what.

Seriously, when is the next time the Raptors will play a game in Montreal?

I'm sure one will be able to find affordable tickets.

Barring sudden death, I will be doing whatever I can to get there that night.

Unless we change the roster and collect 10 french players, it would never fly. And even then.

Obviously it won't happen for many reasons, but we all know that NBA 'stars' wouldn't know a good thing if it bit them in the ass.

Montreal is a fantastic city. One of the coolest cities in the world.

Mehh, it's ok. But you're right it would never happen or work if it did.
