Raptors Ranking the PG's

Quote:
11. Jose Calderon, Toronto - His efficiency is on Nash's level, even though his numbers haven't been as prolific. Spain's prized point guard set career-highs with 12.8 points, 8.9 assists while again shooting around 50 percent from the field, over 40 percent from 3-point range and an NBA-record 98 percent from on free throws. He responsibly limits turnovers and backs down from no one, though like Nash, he's not the greatest defender.
Doesn't back down

1. Chris Paul
2. T. Parker
3. D. Williams
4. Billups
5. Harris
6. Rose
7. Nash
8. Rondo
9. Arenas
10. B. Davis
11. Calderon
12. Kidd
13. M. Ellis
14. Westbrook
15. A. Miller

Link: PBN | Point taken

My top 10:

1. Chris Paul
2. Tony Parker
3. Deron Williams
4. Chauncey Billups
5. Steve Nash
6. Derrick Rose
7. Jose Calderon
8. Rajon Rondo
9. Devin Harris
10.Jameer Nelson

Putting Baron Davis ahead of Calderon is a travesty, same with Harris and to a lesser degree Rondo imo.

Based on last season I'd say Jose's ranking is pretty fair. Harris got an all-star nod and Rondo was pretty friggin' good during the playoffs.

I thought D-Will and CP3 were the top PG's. I don't see how Parker is the second best. Plus, its kind of hard to have Kidd down that low.

Tony Parker works perfectly with the spurs due to his speed and his offensive style on completely breaking down team defenses, he's like a really REALLY polished Roko Ukic with the ability to drive it create collapses and kick out, or just plain score.

Mentioning Roko in the same breath as Tony Parker is offensive.

You didn't see the game last year in San Antonio where Roko owned Tony all night.

I'd put Nash 4th on that list.

what the heck is rose doing there? he had a fairly poor rookie season in anything but scoring. Sure, he has a ton of potential and one day he might be the 2nd best pg, but until then, there's no way he's ahead of nash, harris or rondo.

I think its silly to rank them individually.

it makes more sense to have ranks, and to put guys in um.

example.

First tier

Chris Paul
Chauncey Billups
Tony Parker
Deron Williams

Second tier

Jose Calderon
Derrick Rose
Rajon Rondo
Steve Nash

Third Teir

Devin Harris
Baron Davis
Jameer Nelson
Gilbert arenas
Jason Kidd

I like this idea more because to be honest, there are way more variables involved than people wanna agree there are.
