Ranking the Eastern Conference PF's

Quote:
1. Chris Bosh, Toronto 21.5 PTS, 2.3 AST, 9.5 REB, .569 TS%, 22.1 PER
CB4 probably belongs on the top of this list even if he just delivers the same numbers he has over the past four seasons, but it's a contract year and he wants to prove he's worth a max contract. I don't know if his scoring numbers will increase, but I think he's going to jack up his intensity on defence and on the boards.
RaptorBlog.com featuring Scott Carefoot: The original Toronto Raptors blog - NBA insight, analysis and humour since 2002

Top 10:

1. Chris Bosh
2. Kevin Garnett
3. Rashard Lewis
4. Josh Smith
5. Elton Brand
6. Antawn Jameson
7. Troy Murphy
8. Charlie Villanueva
9. Anderson Varejao
10. Al Harrington

Thoughts?

I thought so too, but looking at that list, CB does deserve to be #1. KG is right there with him, but nobody knows how he will play when he comes back from the injury. If he is back to his old form, the leadership and defense (two qualities that Bosh still needs to develop) put him at #1, even though Bosh is a better offensive player already.

But I think KG has a 50/50 chance of being as good as he was in the last 2/3 years. That's the only reason he's behind Bosh in my books.

I was in the same boat. My initial reaction was Bosh #1?? But than you look at the list and it makes sense.

That kinda kills the Bosh being overrated debate doesn't it?

Nice. I didn't expect him to be first. Maybe it's some homerism.

that's what I thought man... garnett is the best for another year i'd say... the guy is just tenacious. Scary. I remember him up in bosh's FACE... what a disaster, you could see how scared Bosh was of him. Hell, Bosh grew up idolizing him.

Kevin Garnett is still head and shoulders better than Bosh...

CB4 = #2.

I got crapped on all over the Internet for ranking Turkoglu in the middle of the pack among Eastern SFs, so it's safe to say I'm not a homer. KG's knee injury was quite serious and he's 33 years old. The odds are against him returning to his former level of dominance.

elton brand sucks ass now. Dudes injured and overpaid, and he will never fit into Sixers run n' gun offense

Oh yeah 30 is over the hill to you, 33 must be really old. I'm shocked then that you put him so high.

KG #1
Brand will have a bigger impact than Bosh this season.
Bosh will be third.

Jermaine O'Neal was 30 last season and was drafted out of high school just like KG. How did Jermaine look last season?

until Bosh shows he can score against KG, he doesn't deserve #1. I agree there is a chance that Bosh becomes #1 the next season, but based on the previous season, he is NOT #1. Having Bosh #1 is like having Bargnani #2 in the centers list, based on what he could become the next season.

wishful thinking if you ask me.

and I would also place josh smith #3 on that list and I would have diaw before varejao.
