Read again. We were bad because of Gay, Masai dealt him swiftly.
Is this tanking?
The chances of keeping Lowry next year are remote. We would have to compete with every other team to sign him, meaning that he can command a high price. Face it, he's not coming back. Why would you be willing to lose that asset for nothing? Do you think we can compete without him? If not, why not deal him now, embrace the sucking that would inevitably ensue, ad re-tool? I can't understand why having Lowry for 4-5 months and then losing him for nothing has any value to anyone? It makes no sense to keep him.

End of last season, lots of people were not "up" on the team. Lots of people saw that the team's success was in a small sample size against a lot of teams with nothing to play for, resting starters, or missing players due to injuries, and that multiple players (Gay, DD especially) were just on a hot shooting streak, well above their career averages and due to regress (lol Gay).

I for one was calling for a tank all summer, even before the draft last spring. Masai is also shopping Lowry, one of the best players on the team, and reportedly was close on a deal that would bring back nothing of value now and a pick for 5 years from now. Is that tanking?
