Question re: 3 point streak
I've tried searching the wide wide world of web to see if I could find the answer, but to no avail.

We HAD the three point streak, and it came to an end this season, and from what I remember, Dallas was only a few games (10-20?) behind us for games in a row with a 3 pointer made... so my question is this... Have they now passed us, or are they close to doing so? Did they miss a 3 pointer in a game this season since, and we still have the record?

Any stat heads out there that know the answer off-hand?

I think they were closer than that...like 5 games... and I believe I do remember they passed us. No official sources to provide though sorry.

Check media notes for the raptors on Where amazing happens. | NBA.COM They should have it. I recall readin bout the streak while it was still active at the time.

No, I'm pretty sure that if Dallas is going to pass us, its going to be next season.

negative.... i count them as being at 1010 or 1011.

they were only 5 behind when we had our streak broken.

Mavs were indeed only 5 behind when the record stopped.. idk if ur that interested i guess you could just look at dallas' boxscore in 5 games after that.. i believe it was the loss to Memphis where Rudy Gay made the game winning shot where the streak ended.

March 6, 2011

The Mavericks notched a couple of impressive milestones, upping their NBA record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer to an even 1,000...

This was from Feb 15th after Mavs beat Houston 106-102

"The Mavericks went 8-15 from three-point range. Dallas has now hit a three-pointer in an NBA-record 992 consecutive games. It is hard to imagine that the streak will end anytime soon with the league's third (Jason Kidd) and fourth (Peja Stojakovic) best three-point shooters of All-Time on the squad. Jason Terry is also in the mix as he is ranked eighth in that department."
So they passed it and I'm not sure how many games they have played since. You can count after the Houston win and see where they stand now.

Mavs are at 1011 right now, the Raps streak ended at 986, so no. :reporter:

Thanks RF4L, I even tried to check basketball reference, but had no luck in doing so.
