Raptors Production 2014

Default 2014 Production
Yes, folks. It's that time again for your predictions of production from the rotation next year.

I'm even including Bargnani off the bench as a showcase for trades. Hope they can add experience and toughness in a veteran big, a backup PG and vet 2/3 who defends before he chucks.

Gay 19/6/3
Derozan 17/4/2
Lowry 12/5/8
AJ 10/7/1/1.5 blocks
JV 10/9/1/2 blocks

-------------------

Bargs 12/5/1
Ross 9/3/1
Fields 6/5/1

That time again? Isn't the time for this usually in say Aug-Sept when the roster is set?

Anyway, this is subject to be revised, but:

Lowry: 14ppg/7apg/5rpg
Derozan: 16ppg/4rpg/3apg
Gay: 19ppg/7rpg/3apg
Amir: 10ppg/9rpg/1.4bpg
Valanciunas: 13ppg/8rpg/1.8rpg

Ross: 9ppg/4rpg
Acy: 5ppg/4rpg

Bargs, Anderson, Kleiza, Telfair, Pietrus are hopefully all gone.

If Ross shoots 40% from 3 he'll score more than 11 points

Yeah, no way he shotts 40% from three anyway. I'd be happy with 34-35%

I think Ross could put up 15 ppg in 25 mpg simply by surrounding him with some solid vets in the second unit. Alot of the time it seemed like he was forced into catch-and-shoot situations or given the ball with limited time to try and make a hero play.

He'd have to have quite the summer to pull that off.

I honestly hope this will be the last year that we have the Demar/Gay pairing at 2/3 as I dont see any coach outside of the highest level of coaches(Pop, Carlisle, Thibodeau) being able to make that work on either side of the ball.

But since we're here:

Lowry 13 and 7 on 42/39/82 from the field/3/FT
Demar 17, 4, and 3 on 43/30/82
Gay 18, 6, and 3 on 42/29/80
Amir 10, 8 and 1.2 bpg on 54/72 from ft
JV 12, 8, and 2 bpg on 55/80 from ft

Hopefully the year after we're able to reconstruct our entire roster to where the 1-3 positions only has 2 of Lowry/Demar/Gay max. I'm not a big fan of Rudys game as I dont see him ever being able to change his offensive game at this point, which IMO will hurt JVs development offensively going forward. I'd look to try and deal him in the last year of his contract for something of value. I'm not a big fan of Demars game either, but I think he may be able to adjust it going forward since hes still a young player and can still be molded into playing a winning style of offence. Defensively obviously Rudy is a much better player than Demar, but Rudys offensive inefficiency and needing to have the ball so much for so much of a possession is a net negative with him as our best player. I understand why BC made the deal, but Rudy either needs to let JV take the reigns on offence, which I dont ever see him doing judging by past results in MEM, or he needs to go, a more likely scenario.

This is difficult because it is hard to figure out playing time with a coach like Casey, but.....

Gay 20/6/3
Derozan 18/4/2
Lowry 12/5/8
AJ 10/7/1/1.5 blocks
JV 10/9/1/2 blocks

-------------------

Hansborough 8/7/1
Ross 9/3/1
Fields 6/5/1
