FoldedLaundry 01-16-2011 04:01 PM

Its a season of development, there are going to be numerous problems.

fk24 01-16-2011 04:03 PM

MLSE and the Raptors GM and Co. Those guys take the cake. They'll make the same excuses for the next 10 years.

Gurk 01-16-2011 04:05 PM

+1 It isn't one glaring problem. There are plenty.

Bankiz 01-16-2011 04:56 PM

You cant even come close to saying its BC, im sure trying to make bosh happy with sidekicks was no easy job, and if one of those worked out they could have been deal breakers. We are now set up quite nicely, 2 first rounders, a shit load of young players, and tons of cap room for next season or to make a deal before the deadline. Lack of veteran talent is seriously whats missing, our season would look quite diffrent if we had another more talented "star" player.

Really, if we wanna talk about "bad" GM's then we have the leafs to look at.....

Fixxxer 01-16-2011 06:33 PM

injury problem?

BC is just another JP Ricciardi. You'll realize it sooner or later.

Admiral 01-16-2011 09:46 PM

you can basically say that half those problems are summed up as talent problems

moremilk 01-17-2011 01:24 PM

the premise of this topic is wrong, there really is no problem
in fact, things could not go any better - our core pieces (demar, bargnani and davis) are improving nicely, we are competitive almost every night but lose enough games to be within shouting distance of a bottom 3 record.

a market like toronto can only improve through the draft and most will agree that nobody on this roster has a superstar ceiling. Therefore we need to keep drafting high picks hoping to strike gold, the sooner the better. Because the major risk with this team is that if we draft somebody good, we could become a playoff team next season, and we'd end up like atlanta or worse (indiana).

IMO we need at least two years of good drafting before it's safe to fight for the playoffs, I just hope MLSE and the fans have patience.

I agree 100% I see no real problem except maybe the conditioning of some of our players (Sonny & Amir). I expected worse from this team and they are competing better than most would have expected.

pzabby 01-17-2011 06:27 PM

can u add refs to this list?

FoldedLaundry 01-17-2011 07:14 PM

I think the problem is that we got plagued with injuries.
