Trade Jose? Ok. Have some kid who's never played an NBA game start and turn the ball over 15 times, or put Bayless in and have him chuck 3s and make terrible decisions. Sounds good guys.

Yeah the results with Jose the last 3yrs have been so great we can't lose him. What would we be thinking?

Fans in this city......keep jose, he gets alot of assists (including for the other team thanks to his D) and keep Reggie Evans who's played 20-25 good games for us the past 2 season and collected 10Mil......all to be the 12th-13th man. Lovely.

"Which ever way it happens"

Most of the C FA's are restricted this season... and if there respective teams aren't willing to match + playing in toronto = overpaying

No thanks ... dont want another "Jose" on our hands right?

S which ever way it happens equates to OVERPAY to you? Really? It means either through FA or trade. Not once did i say we should overpay. And no we don't want another Jose on our hands but what does that have to do with getting a Center?

But honestly, this free agent class is weak.

The best big men that are realistic are:

Carl Landry
Troy Murphy
Sam Dalembert
Tyson Chandler
Greg Oden

That's so true lol.

He has a high motor, but can only play the PF position (we already have a lot of players there).

I know ppl want to trade Jose but I'm not sold on Bayless running the team. It could be a huge disaster.

Mr. Aldridge has shown he can be a No. 1 option on a playoff team. Something you can't say about the Raptors. Most important, they have players who can play defense. Thay are Top 9 in point allowed.

Right now, Portland has a brighter future than the Raptors. However, trade me Aldridge for Bargnani and my decision changes.
Oh please. Mathews is a solid player and may be scoring as much as DeRozan now, but I don't think there's a single GM in the league who'd say Mathews is a better prospect than DeRozan. Mathews is 24, DeMar is 21.

And as for "he plays defense" - that's mainly because of the coach and the system IMO. Everyone on the Blazers plays defense. Bayless was praised for his hard nosed D when he played for the Blazers...

As for Aldridge, he can definitely be the #1 option on a playof team, but he could never be the #1 on a Championship team. He's Chris Bosh part 2 - and this is first season where he's taking much more shots close to the basket. DeRozan this year is getting to the line more often than Aldridge has in any of his previous four seasons.

Befors this season Aldridge was an 18/8 player.. Hardly the #1 option of a contender.

Aldridge is a great player and he could definitely play the Pau Gasol to another player's Kobe role, but he's not going to be your #1 to a championship.

we all like landry because he's skilled for his size at his position and he's got the effort and hustle, everything you want in a player

but when you look at him he's 1 of those guys that are good because of the effort but in the end he's not 1 of those guys that will be a core player on a championship team

We should get a dependable point guard before or during trading Calderon.

I agree with you, a lot of people will be disappointed if we just hand the keys to Bayless.

I would want Landry, but we already have enough PFs. I can see Chandler staying in Dallas. Dalembert might stay in Sactown, i guess :S. No to Troy, and Oden....

I would love to take a flyer on Oden, but I have a feeling he could end up in Boston for some reason.
