Default Primo's Intensity: Good or Bad for team?

I kind of already alluded to this in the other Brezec thread, but would you guys like to see more Raptor players with the same intensity as Primo or do you think Primo's laying it on a little thick right now?

Thoughts?

Defensively he knocked a cutting Matt Carroll five feet one moment and switched on to Earl Boykins and chased him until he stepped out of bounds and he just kind of generally raised the temperature of the contest as he kind of got into it with Nazr Mohammed a little bit. Yes he picked up four fouls in four minutes. But the guy is a firecracker, if a little bit light weight.

Considering we have 12/13 other guys who were probably candidates for the citizenship award on a yearly basis in school, it's nice to have a guy that's a little rough around the edges.

The simple fact is this, Preeeeemo's theory of "Man - up and hit something" is right up my alley.

I love him already.

He won't fit in, he and Bosh will have issues.

God, watching him utter 'fuck you' after one of his baskets while looking his old coach dead in the eye made me laugh hard, but after a while, it became sad, but only because we were playing like shit and when you play half-assed ball while talking smack doesn't translate well.

Him saying guys needed to man up and hit sombody was exactly what this team needs. Scrub or not, 80% of this game is played in between your ears Thriller, you'd think you'd like a guy with some balls.

I like what he can add to that room. Seeing as our "TEam leader" thought it a good idea to openly oppose his coaches suggestion to play a bit dirty and get mean (like EVERY other team does) , claiming that just wasn't his style, thank fucking god we got a guy that will do it, gladly.

He doesn't need to set much more than the tone thriller, an dI like that he is willing.

I'm not sure anyone here has suggested he was on any shortlist of scoring options on this team, we know what his role is. Thank you.

i think we need some1 like that, but when its a hardcore scrub, wanksta saying it, it doesnt have much impact on the good players, u need a guy that can play a little or more respected in the league for this attitude to spread around the team. I bet he is seen as a funny wanksta by the other players, not a guy getting every1 pumped.

I can tell you, gulp, from experience that the best players on the team aren't always the team leaders, often each guy has a role to play on a team, and a guy like Primoz is often the guy that will get guys going.

You guys are making very short sighted comments and using silly words like wanksta to describe a full grown man, playing with a lot of younger guys. If he goes out on the court and steps it up like he has, and makes even one good hustle play, or takes one really hard foul, he has more than done his part.

Unfortunately the timinf is bad in Raptorland for Primoz, there are much larger problems it would seem.

I agree with you SJ.

I had a coach once tell me that anyone on any team can be the leading scorer. Everyplayer has a role he said. The leading scorer for a team? That's their role, it's what they're supposed to do. This is Bosh's role.

But he continued that since every player has a role it's important that they do their job correctly and they're all important no matter how insignificant. And if they do their role properly than scoring and defense will become easy.

Primoz fits his role perfectly. He's a guy who won't take shit. He's a guy who in Indiana and Charlotte put up good rebounding and point numbers. Trust me when I say this, he's not some "scrub" as people like to say. He knows how to play the game and if he's willing to take hard fouls, dive for loose balls and show emotion then fuck he does more than any other player already on this team. He'll find PT because no coach in the world doesn't reward hard work and Primoz seems to work his ass off.
