BC must be really pissed off right now. The guy has done everything humanly possible for us. But yet our guys are just so stagnant. Triano is fucked if he can't turn this shit around

1) Why did we pass on Pops again?

2) Why do we always fight for our shots, while the other team is constantly shooting open shots?

3) Are we sure that is not still MeJ Ford wearing #1 ?

4) Do we any other offense that doesnt consists of "catch the ball, wait for coverage" ?

No room after all the moves this summer, especially after Rasho/Evans/Amir were brought in. But generally i think it was to give some people something to bitch about when things aren't going our way.

pops wasn't really anything special, even a kid from the street can dunk down 3 empty lanes...

the raps look like they're lost on defense sometimes, the first 2 quarters they played very tense and strong defense, but it paid off, then they stopped playing it for some reason and we fell back.

also, our offense is too flaky, it consists of taking tough shots, it looks like there needs to be more setups on offense, or run extremely fast offense (after grabbing the ball) so we can take the opponent out as fast as we can, otherwise the mindless passing and lack of direction is just sad.

No it isn't. It's an easy one to answer, and one that nobody would give a second thought to, if we weren't struggling.

Pops looks great as a 10 minute energy guy that doesnt cost much. How is POB a better choice?

why stress about passing on POPs, this is the first time he did anything decent for the rockets this preseason, IMO hes still inconsistent as hell.

if this is what the D is going to be, we are f'ed. time for jay triano to break some boards.

They looked like they wanted to win with offense, plain and simple. I can give them a pass, because the offense has been rough, and tonight it did look like they had a good feel for each other. If they look anything like tonight a couple weeks in, then something is going to have to give.

It is just a pre-season game. There's no getting away from that. But I'm sensing some tough decisions are ahead for someone.

you kidding me? these are the same "scrubs" that blew Lakers out twice in the playoffs and took them to 7 games.

I don't know that I would call them a bunch of scrubs. Swap Artest for Ariza, and you've basically got the same team that gave the Lakers a real challenge last year. Brooks and Lowry make for a good PG combination, and Landry is a reliable post player.

That said, the D from the Raptors was horrible tonight. I think there is either a lack of focus or a lack of intensity thus far, and I suspect (hope!) that this is just because it's the pre-season.

Are we that bad that we're discussing Pops Mensah-Bonsu vs POB? That's what it's come to on October 15th?

The defense tonight was poor, but it wasn't the only issue. Turkoglu looked really rusted and made numerous lackadaisical passes that ended up being fast break points for the Rockets. We also don't seem to have a clear cut choice for the two spot, as both DeRozan and Belinelli have proven that their shots aren't as consistent as they need to be, in order to pose a real threat. Bargnani looks rather good, however the same cannot be said about Bosh. He didn't really come to play tonight, but let's remember it's just preseason. Triano stated that the team hasn't had a day off since camp started and I believe quite a few guys had been working hard a week or so before camp. I feel as if we will see a slightly different squad on Sunday vs Boston. The more organized we become, the better we will play defensively. I'm not ready to write off the season before it has even begun. Though, I'm also being careless with what expectations I place on this team. It's a young squad and we still aren't sure just how Bosh, Turk, Bargs and Jose will work together.

I am not losing any sleep over the game , hell its only exhibition with still 2 weeks to get ready. Jose ,Bosh, Turk, and Bargs did not really play regular season minutes. The rockets had 2 starters play over 30 minutes. It seemed that the rockets were more concerned about winning the game instead of getting balance minutes for their players. Lets build on the positives guys, to early to throw yourself over the cliff. No one got hurt in the game so its all good. Take a day off then get back to work getting ready for the season.
