The only thing he does better is shooting from the perimeter. I don't see why we'd take our defensive anchor out for that. Unless you were joking.

I mean, Casey did start Hansbrough over him for a couple games, didn't he? It's gotta be a possibility if he keeps this up.

I think he's a keeper for this team, at least with what we currently have
he reminds me of donyell marshall, long big that can shoot
he's definitely a useful piece, i would keep him as part of the rotation, not sure how integral he should be yet though
if the bigs are to remain JV and Amir as the starters then PP and Hansborough as the main bench bigs isn't bad
you also have to remember that PP isn't that old so he fits in with the young team we are building

That's because Casey is a bad coach.

I dont see why itd be a possibility when A) Amir is a much better player, and B) We're winning with what we're currently doing. Makes no sense to switch it up now because PP had a couple of good games in a row.

Good bench guy for us right now, don't see him supplanting AJ anytime soon though.

Amir asked to come off the bench because we had no bench and we were losing.

Yeah he is a terrible coach, let's bring Triano back...
DC isn't an elite coach but far from being a bad coach.

The really good thing about this is, we probably would have been screwed before the trade if Amir had gone down with an injury, but now it would not be as devastating for the team. Just watching a replay of last nights game and it happens to be right before the end of the 3rd quarter, and on the closing sequence, first Patterson blocked a Livingston shot, then continued across the lane and drew a charge on Teletovic. Unreal sequence that fired the team up even more. Patterson's a baller.

Deep down, he probably did this to avoid playing with Gay so much as well.

I bet you didn't say this at any point before the Rudy Gay trade.

Well I think it's pretty fair to say PP gets at least the QO/becomes an RFA. If, and he probably will, he gets a multiyear contract I see him getting 4-6 million/year.

I would bet on that. It was probably not just deep down either. The guy had become pretty toxic and the whole team was very relaxed and focused the minute he was gone. A big weight lifted off the team. And all the new guys were coming from their own somewhat toxic environment. The mix has been brilliant. It's all about the winning now.

Absolutely should stay that way.
AJ, even when he's not firing well on offence is still a big piece of the defence.

Actually I did and you can check my previous posts, but everyone was busy spamming the stupid Fire Casey thread

patrick patterson reminds me of donyell marshall. Good outside game although can do some nice things in the paint. good rebounder too. Both seemed like throw ins in their trades too.

The major difference is PP's athleticism. He can defend multiple positions. He's an extremely valuable bench player in my opinion.

i'm not saying they're the same i'm just saying there's a lot of similarities to their games and the situations they find themselves in.
