They have a big point differential and a difficult schedule. That's pretty much what this thing is all about. Technically they should be hotter perhaps.

Minny is definitely the biggest challenge in our upcoming schedule.

We will crush Minny. Kyle Lowry doesn't even have to cover Rubio, our defense will embarrass them. You heard it here first. Lowry is going to make a mess all over Rubio and raps clobber the Twolves.

I am not saying you are wrong. I am saying I am worried about them more than about Boston or Lakers. We will see about Ricky Rubio, but there is also a matter of Love...

Rubio has been shooting so bad this year...that if we left him completely open all game, it might actually increase our odds of winning.

love and pekovic will kill our front line, amir is not all that comfortable chasing guys on the perimeter and jv had major problems with pekovic in the past. If JV gets in foul trouble, amir will have to move to the 5, leaving patterson and tyler to deal with love, and I'm not sure that will work too well either ...

on the other hand, our backcourt will give them major problems and our bench is superior. Will be a very even game between two pretty good teams (with almost the same record).

I believe JV will do better against Pekovic this time around. Love, though, will cause us major headaches. I hope we can attack him on defence and get him in some foul trouble.

I think Patterson would be a good cover on Love. And could made him work on the defensive end. I also want to see Demar go right at Kevin Martin, as he has done in the past.

Why would Amir cover Pek? I can see TH and PatPat taking turns covering Pek if JV gets into foul trouble as Amir is quicker for covering Love. Although remember, JV is much further away from the player we saw last year. It's like watching Tyson own JV last year and this year - not so much. lmao, Tyson was going crazy as there was nothing he could do to stop JV. Now I don't think JV will overpower Pek like that but I can certainly see JV giving him fits as well.

If all else fails and JV does get into foul trouble I could see the team simply switching to zone more often.

patterson has no chance against pekovic, and tyler will only play limited minutes (I would think - given he's yet to return). In a sense, hayes may be a better choice, but I think pekovic is too skilled in the post and would score at will, even though hayes is so strong.

Hansborough would be awesome for the Twolves game, physical scrappy guy down low. Anyone know when he'll be back?

The smart thing to do against the TWolves would be just to leave Rubio wide open at the 3 point line and let Kyle dig all night vs Pek. Pek isn't a guy who passes out of the post, mostly because he gets great position near the rim on most of his catches where he can just turn and finish, but if we have a second guy there on the catch it could really disrupt their team.

I think Amir will do fine against KLove, but like many others, I believe the key to beating them is keeping Val in the game and giving him a lot of help on Pek. Ross and Derozan need to have good rebounding games too against them in helping the bigs on the boards.

Amir has had some nice games against KLove in the past.

Thunder emerge from tough week as No. 1 | NBA.com

Raps drop to 13th, a win tonight would be a huge.

By the All-Star break the whole city will suffer through an outbreak of ebola which will be traced back to Rob Ford doing speedballs with the Ikea monkey, resulting in multiple infectious bites which will then mutate and ooze fluids filled with virulent strains that spread through the population from the copious amount of sweat which he ordinarily transfers to everything in his vicinity. We will all do crazy dances and shriek and holler. The rest of the world will think it's just Toronto revelling in the same behaviors as its infamous mayor. We will die painful deaths without any kind of help having been extended to us.

The Raptors will drop to 17 in the power rankings.
