Default POV from section 123

just got back from a great game...
bought myself a Calderone Tshirt for 20 bucks, bought the woman a raps flag...
heres my take on a great game by the raps (some of the things i noticed live that wouldve probably missed at home).

1. Bosh on the block in the post is our best go-to play.
at the start of the second half, this was our bread and butter. feed Bosh on the post (backing up on Randolph), and let him decide what to do... this resulted in a 16-2 run to start the 3rd. he would get the ball, either turn to face up or back down randolph, NY would cheat and he'd suck in 1 or 2 help defenders, then kick it out.
and after the initial kick out - this is where the magic happened - who ever got that pass would swing it around and make that second pass that would break down the D so badly and create a extremely wide open shot.
it worked to perfection on 4 plays in a row.
it totally killed NY and broke the game open for us.

2. Jamario Moon.
his Defense is overrated.
on more than one occasion, his man blew by him, or shot over him with no hand in his face.
Jamario needs to remember to keep his hands up...
on a bright side, he is a fabulous rebounder... he absolutely skies for a rebound and grabs that shit with authority.

3. Primoz Brezec.
I love this kat.
he did his thing tonight and put up 11 points and a few boards, but thats not what made me happy. i'm watching this guy with 1 minute and 35 seconds to go, us up by 20+ and this dude is BATTLING for rebs, not giving up on the play or playing half-assed. he's playing as if its tied with 10 seconds to go.
he's boxing out hard, pounding for the reb... it was awesome to see.
another thing i noticed is how athletic he is, how fast and well he runs.
he's going to get minutes here for sure. his work ethic is great and his athleticism is terrific!

a few tidbits:
-eddy curry is massive... no wonder he was drafted so high, his a big boy... he should be dominating. what a waste of size.
-if Bargs can hit his shots consistently, he'll be unstoppable.
-the raps dance pack are sexy as hell...
-tj is 100% for sure. he hasnt lost a step whatsoever.

How bad did Zach Randolph's shot selection look in person? lol

That airball was gross.

Nice observations, but I noticed all of those things from the couch.

LOL... that airball was classic.
people all started laughing at him and really let him have it.
when the fans actually laugh at you instead of boo, you know you must feel like a loser.
it was pretty funny... almost as funny as when bachman was on the line shooting his FT's; some dude shouted out "hey Ronaldo, you need a haircut".

convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

Thanks Insider.

BTW, is it just me or does Balkman look like he's stoned 24-7?

good stuff insider.

I love reading those kinds of posts.

and yes, Primo is da bomb!

I could watch him set screens like he did all game long. dude was playing hungry... and if he could do that all the time he's on the floor like he said, then he will be a force. So much of how people play iin the NBA is about hunger and effort. That's something that Brezec has in spades.

Best of luck in Detroit, Juan, but i am loving this trade.

thanks Fancy.
i absolutely think this will turn out as a HUGE trade for us.
maybe not so much in the boxscores, but behind the scenes.
i've already heard how hard he goes at practice and this will create a great push in competition, thus making us better.
also, you should have seen him during warmups, giving and recieving high fives, joking around with rasho and the other guys... he looks like a funny guy, he was making parker and Bosh laugh.
chemistry is our biggest advantage... and brezec looks to add to that.
