I still don't believe in improved defence in the second half, It's fuckin' ZONE you are playing!! No other defencive system than Zone!! Hawks missed some wide open threes and made some contested ones!

Can't blame him, the guy was left cold by his teammates after the first half. I could see him forcing his shots since the game was close. All in all its a learning experience for him which is what we want. His defense wasn't great this game, but he was defending with effort. His man to man defense is getting better, but getting away from the screen and closing out needs some work. Needs to rebound more too.

No watch it again it was goaltending if the play wasn't stopped

I thought the foul on that pick and roll was Jose's fault, because Jose moved too early and he didn't drive the ball close to Amir..anyone know what i mean?..like jose needs to close the gap between him and Amir, then it wouldn't of been a foul. The reason it was a foul was because Amir wasn't set, he set the pick on Crawfords behind. lol

And i thought, down the stretch, Refs made the right calls, wasn't their fault, as much as it is ours

Yeah, you're right, they stopped feeding him the ball so he lost his mojo. And trane is right, he's gunna end up being better than every current player in a raps jersey anyways, might as well take a lesson from this loss.

Should have been Barbosa with the ball late in the game with that drive

OK, just PVR'd and you're correct. I totally saw it wrong the first time.

Yeah, the thing was that Jose was probably expecting him to have the pick set properly and so started to move, but unfortunately Amir couldn't set a simple pick. Either way, Jose got blocked, but the outcome may have been different.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparently it was goaltending?

There were two fouls Demar commited behind the three point line. The one on Johnson was a lame call in my opinion, but the one on Crawford was bad for Demar. But at that point, I don't think it was a game killer like Amir's offensive foul, Jose's drive, or Bargs out of bounds rebound. But that's my opinion.

Well now that my heart rate's down and I can think clearly, after reviewing that jose drive, it was the right call. The Amir call was questionable. But I agree with fancylad, the three point fouls were what ended up killing us, and the other late game mistakes.

I still am proud for the effort they gave, they're young and can't be perfect but still ended up losing a very good game so props to them.

YOu guys want to know what pretty much won the game for Atlanta? THat insanely long 3 at the shot clock buzzer. It was either crawford or Johnson (n'est pas?).

DAMN that was absolutely shocking.

Barbosa wasn't the only to go one on five. That seemed to be the case with everyone in the second half. The first half was nice in that it showed them as a pretty cohesive unit. Then halfway through the third the offense rested on driving into traffic.

Demar's defense was terrible in stretches. And Bargnani's head was not into defending much at all. They tried to win this game on offense alone. Kudos to Jose for playing a pretty nice two-way game. Too bad he was shut down so badly at the end.

+1 That was a goaltending, the ball touch the backboard before the blockshot

I was going to say too, Jose's first drive when Amir made the foul was goaltending for Josh Smith. That would have been 2 crucial points there!

That was a good game. A young team has to learn to avoid making costly mistakes down the stretch and we didn't. C'est la vie.

At least Barg's 3 point attempt at the end hit the rim this time. Baby steps...
