Dammit! I KNEW that someone would make the post-game thread as soon as I posted lol....

Let's go hockey format for a sec...

3 stars:

1. Chris Bosh - another strong double-double and the 3 FTW!!

2. Shawn Marion - HUGE on both ends. His best game so far as a Rap.

3. Jay Triano - Fantastic playcalling down the stretch.

Hey you can't make a post game thread. You are disrespecting the mods by doing so. Only they have this privilege.

lol yea. Down about 10 w/ 4 mins to go. Marion came up with some stops and a bucket late. And Bosh with the winning 3 and stop on the final defensive possession.

Triano's playcall down the stretch got us 3 open layups (o bryant missed, marion missed, and a marion make) before a wide open CB for 3 FTW :dancing:

Calderon and Parker rested too much. Maybe Calderon re-injured his hamstring...but I don't see a reason why we should rest Parker and play Kapono.

Thank you Juan Dixon.

what a clutch shot by Bosh... when I saw him stop beyond the arc and bed his knees I just let out a huge sigh.

But when that ball went it I crapped my pants. Did not expect that at all. Nice way to end a game! :yeah: (minus the crap in my pants anyway)

I'll say it again - so impressed with how Chris Bosh is playing. The three at the buzzer was cool, but it's the passes he's making that are wooing me. Dishes to cutters, passing out of double teams to open shooters - I don't know what new Chris Bosh has done with old Chris Bosh, but I hope new Chris Bosh is here to stay.

The new Chris Bosh finally has teammates who can make plays.

He also has a coach who's been emphasizing less isos and pick & roll plays and a more free-flowing offense.

If he had missed... this forum would be flaming all over him. I would not want to see another clutch game with Bosh trying to drain a 3.

m5racer 04-14-2009 12:09 AM

Dixon hahhahahahah what a loser, i hated him when he was here beucase he was garbage. Then i see he was playing ok with the wizards. But throwing away the ball with 20 seconds left hahaha priceless
:cheers2::haha::haha::haha:

Only the idiots here would be flaming him. It was a perfectly executed play that resulted in a wide open shot. Bosh has proved that he can hit 3s before.

The only was that I would have been mad was if he would've driven into 3 defenders and turned it over.

I thought it wsa a pretty gutsy play to call. On a team with a lot of good three point shooters, Triano decides to run a 3 point play for Chris Bosh? Like i know that Bosh can hit a 3, but THAT'S the shot that you want to win you the game?

I dunno if that was the smartest thing to do.

Look i'm happy that Bosh nailed it and i know he's hit some big threes in the past as well.

I personally just don't think it was the "perfect" play.

Acie 04-14-2009 08:26 AM

It was a standard pick and pop and...

Quote:

"Jose turned the corner to tie the game before Caron hit the shot (in Washington's 100-98 win in Toronto on Friday) and we watched that on tape today and we showed where guys were on the three-point line open.

"... One of them wasn't Bosh," said coach Jay Triano.

"It's not in the playbook for a three, but we'll take a three."

Sick, Wicked and Nasty! 04-14-2009 08:33 AM

So if he misses the shot it's a loss and occured in part because the coaches play wasn't run. Coaching has to be one of the shittiest jobs in the world. You're responsible for your team's success and you have almost no control over what they do on the court.

Feel good win for the fans and the players though. We always seem to have the fairytale shots in Washington, not sure what it is about that place.

LX 04-14-2009 11:07 AM

The play was run, but the guys they expected to be open were not. Jose actually did a very nice job of finding the open guy. Plays do have options. I only have a problem when players act like there are no options and carry on forcing things when the main option is closed down. You find the best option available and you are going to get some good results a good amount of the time.
