Last time I checked Scola, Yao and Landry don't play on the perimter. These guys were making a living with the points in the paint. They combined for 62 points, and it wasn't like these guys were scoring off points from point guard play, tehy got the points from offensive rebounds and making the plays themselves. For the most part I thought the perimter defence was solid (Brooks 7pts 5 ass), just Bosh and Bargs got killed in the paint.

Honestly, i would take Belinelli or Ellis. But because Belinelli makes so little money it wouldn't work.

Again - Bosh and Bargs had to be sure not to foul too much due to nobody really being able to play behind them. Nice exaggerating of the numbers as well.

And easy entry passes and overhelping by perimeter defenders and horrid pick and roll play by perimeter defenders played a big part in those numbers. It's not just all about what their perimeter guys scored versus what their bigs scored. Defense is a team game. Honest.

With respect to Scola and Landry, their points came off pick and rolls or they got open when the weak-side big moved to help on penetration. With respect to the pick and rolls, it is a problem with our perimeter athleticism at the 1 and 2, as well as confusion on the part of Bargnani. I didn't think he was the problem yesterday on defense, but he often looks lost on pnr. His help defense has improved a little, but this team will not win if the defense relies on help every time down the court.

I meant 62, and changed it now. From what I saw, it had very little to do with the perimeter defending, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

I will say this though, Bosh and Bargs will dominate offensively but will aslo get eaten up defensively as witnessed in Phoenix and Houston.

Yao and Shaq are 2 of the biggest bodies in the NBA. They change the game immeasurably when they're in there.

Asking Bosh and Bargs to stop those guys is like asking you to keep Chris Paul or Tony Parker from getting to the basket.

The thing is though, I am just not talking about Shaq and Yao. Guys like Scola, Landy and Armundeson (sp?) are having their way as well.

I cant believe you just grouped Amundson with Landry and Scola because of one game.
