AND Ellis? I don't remember you including him in there last week. If I remember right it was Biedrins / Wright / 1st rounder. I like the trade either way, but I don't know if GS would be willing to part with Biedrins as well as Ellis.

Ellis and Biedrins eh? Yes, that will likely help us. You think they can match what Bosh does?

And u can't take Bosh for what it is now... assuming we STICK with bosh... Bosh and a SG that we draft >>>>> Ellis and Biedrins.

Not to mention our problem today was defence, GS is one of the worst defensive teams in the league... getting those guys will REALLY help us

They've got athletes, it's just the scheme and overall team mentality that have them as one of the league's worst defensive teams. They're a run and gun team, and running teams typically don't have a propensity for defense.

As far as tonight's defense went, though...I thought Bargs did a tremendous job on Yao. Yao did put up 20/11 but that's what he's averaging on the season so you can't really ask much more, I mean you're not going to stop the guy, he's 7'6". A quick look at Andrea's +/- rating tonight will show you how good of a job he really did on the Chinaman. Quad already eluded to how the team was doing while Andrea was in, and how poorly they started doing when he subbed out.

Chris Bosh on the other hand was totally outplayed by Luis Scola tonight. Yeah... +/-. Dude's done. Made Scola look like an all-star.

Uh, yeah...

Isnt the fact that he had 16 assists further that point? I think thats the reason Doc was like WTF in the first place and everyone that watched the game thought he played like shit and had 0 impact.

Clearly is was the bench, outscored -44. Starting lineup played great cept for parker of coarse. At least bucks lost we still behind 5.5 games and 20 games left. Do we still have a "favourable sched"?

Hopefully this was another game from Bosh to shut the haters up.

"Mentally checked out"? I don't think so. The guy is still trying his ass off to help this team win.

I thought that the frontcourt (Bargs/Bosh/Marion) played pretty well... as per usual.

It was just the wings that let us down... as per usual.

God... I don't know WHAT the fuck is wrong with Kapono... he can't even hit an OPEN shot now much less a contested one. Jeez.

JK was doing pretty well for the 2 games prior to all-star weekend when Jay told him to just shoot the damn ball.

Andrea had very good game offensively but I have to agree with Doc about Andrea's defence. He got killed in the paint by Landry, bit on too many pump fakes and he was horrible at guarding the pick and roll.

The thing about that front court is that they are dominate offensively, but they get dominated defensively. They give up just as much or more than they get on offense.

The pick and roll and many of the points in the paint, can be blamed on poor defense on the perimeter, again. That and the foul problems that this team gets into due to being shorthanded with no bigs on the bench that can be counted on.

This team reminds me of the Bulls about 3-4 years ago. That team heavily relied upon the jump shot to get by and win games. It's the same thing with this team. We look fantastic when we can hit shots, when Kapono is on and playing above his head and averaging 13 ppg when he's really a career 8 ppg player; when Graham is playing above his head.

Marion was meh this game. Didn't really impress me, didn't really make me say, wow, what a great player.

Bosh played a typical game, maybe a game I've taken for granted from him and Bargs, well, I know he's hitting 3s, but I'm really, really tired of him just camping on the perimeter and thinking he's a guard. Yes, he was pulling Yao out, but the amount of missed opportunities to grab boards hurts this team. And he was mediocre on Defence this game, not great, not special.

Hell, we're just a bad team and I'm finally happy that I've reached that point that I have no specific ties to a certain player. This team needs to get better and knowing that we suck now as constructed, I know some of these guys are gonna be shipped out. It'll be interesting to see who goes.

I just caught the Game in an Hour.
What stood out to me was the Raptors lack of athleticism in the back court.
Maybe it's just that the Rockets have such quick guards but Toronto looked pretty brutal trying to stay in front of them. The Rockets ability to penetrate was easily the difference last night.
Another solid statistical game from the "B's" but again nobody on the offensive boards.
They seem to be able to put up numbers together, but who's going to do the dirty work?
It leaves a big gaping hole under the basket. It's the little things like setting screens, boxing out and simply taking up space down low that can win or lose ball games.

When your traditional scoring threats, you SHOOTING GUARD, and THREE POINT SPECIALISTS can't hit wide open shots, or create thier own shots, you're fucked.

Period.

Parker is a glue guy, a room guy, and a decent back up, he AIN'T a starting SG in the NBA I'm afraid.

I can tear Bosh up all day for his lck of leadership skills, but at least he gives you what he can day in and day out. He's a baller.

If you thnk a team has a prayer without a 2AND three that can score.... you're crazy.

Toronto is in bad shape.

And the only way out is to trade either Bosh or Bargnani.

Make the call and live with it I say.
