Instead of whining, why don't you guys go out and have a beer or two, have some fun, maybe touch a boob or two...

regardless of what happens, one thing is sure, we're nowhere near to being a contender. Good teams don't lose like this, unless they have major injuries.

I was just checking on my fantasy team and Jason Kapono scored 14 tonight, but didn't make a 3.

I need 3's JK!

A lot of bounces didn't go the Raptors way, AP and Jose weren't hitting their shats, the team got frustrated, stopped playing defense and stopped hustling. Consequently, Atlanta shot a high percentage and out rebounded Toronto.

That's my take on what happened. This loss was a group effort. I didn't think that the Raptors were out classed at all.

Smitch is fail

If you disagree with that statement, I can fight you.

It's not just this game... of course it isn't... we've been saying this for years. Sam got outcoached by Laurence Frank... Stan Van Gundy absolutely embarrased him... this is the guy who decided it'd be a good idea to try Bargnani at the 3 for the first time ever guarding Turkoglu in the playoffs... then when it failed, he did it again. This is the guy that let Me-J run wild for 5 straight games... and then rewarded him by giving him a starting position. This is the guy who's played Bosh 43 minutes a game until tonight, when he fell short at "just" 37 because we took him out when the game was over... we don't have plays, our defensive rotations and strategies are horrible, we constantly play reactive to teams instead of forcing our strengths on them. Mitchell is good at getting the locker room to play together and hard, but that's ALL he's good at... our lineup is damn good, with all-star PG and PFs playing out of their mind, a solid post C, and a handful of the best shooters in the league, we should absolutely win 50 games and a playoff series. Will we? Fuck no. We're gonna get the 5th seed, open on the road in Orlando, and lose in 6 games because Stan Van Gundy rapes Mitchell any day of the week. How much more evidence is needed before the writing's on the wall for this guy...

alright... that felt good

Flip Murray owned Orlando the other night. What do you have to say about that?

We've only played five games this season and the first three were won becuse of solid D, so I'm not too sure what your point is.

Also he didn't lose to Lawrence Frank, the inexperienced Raps got beat by a savy veteran, playoff tested squad.

Also Barganai had played the three prior to the Orlando series.

That felt good.

Yessir MVP.

But again, I'll be the first to congratulate the Hawks on a great win. They lost their 2nd best player and the big guys that came in, especially Solomon, although quietly, did a great job. 6+9 off the bench and blocked up the middle well. Losing Childress hasnt hurt them at all, its helped them even with the spacing on the floor with 2 solid vets in Murray and Evans. They look poised as ever and they play defence how we should play defence with their quick rotations and pressure on the ball. Theyve hidden Bibby very well, something we've yet to do with Jose. Woodsons done a great job so far and Johnson looks like hes taking that next step as a player, and same with Williams who has gone from average to above average with his defence and newfound 3 pt stroke.

I watched parts of the game and on offense we werent running any plays. It was awful. We had Jose or parker holding the ball and everyone else just standing around, then with 4 seconds left on the shot clock we would do a pick and roll then shoot and miss. Just awful, and moon is a terrible defender, joe johnson showed him what it takes to be a NBA starter and made him look so foolish.

You've gotta recognize what Horford did too (also quietly):

7 pts / 8 reb / 2 ast / +27 / 16:35min

+27 in 16:35. That's messed up. He was in foul trouble, but he was very effective when he was out there.

what bugs me is when I hear mitchell fans whining about our wing troubles. It's not like all the other teams in the league have all star players at all 5 positions. Most teams in this league have weaknesses, we just have no clue on how to hide them. I mean, Atlanta is beyond weak at PF/C - they have pachulia, horford and solomon. You'd think our twin towers will absolutely destroy them, make them foul out in the first quarter.

Horford almost averaged a double double last year in his rookie season. He's not weak at all.

What?

Hoford is one of the most promising young bigs in the league, Pachulia is solid and tough as nails and that other guy is good too...what's his name...Josh something or other. And Bosh and O'Neal did own them, but our perimeter players were awful.

I think it's safe to say you could think Sam is the biggest moron in the world and still realize the production from the 2/3 has been poor.

I'll put this out there:

Solomon looks much better than Ukic right now. I think he should be considered the primary back up at PG from here on in. Ukic makes too many rookie mistakes.

Hello Fellow Raptor Fans

This is my first post, so here goes. After watching the raps get dismantled tonight, it is fair to say that we have no bench scoring. Our starters with the expection of Bosh and o'neal played brutal. I understand that there will be off nights but that is usually where the bench comes into play. So far Kapono has been the only scorer. I apologize for saying this but we need a veteran backup PG that can score. I'm sorry but i have given up on Bargnani. He needs to be packaged with roko or whoever we can get. We need some scorers off the bench. Our starters are already playing heavy minutes and it is only the 5th game
